26 - the return

My post on Ultimate Dallas forum from February 28, 2014 (episode aired on February 24, 2014):

Sometimes I think that Patrick Duffy writes his own dialogues because they sound much profound and real than the other actors'...

At any time of the episode, I expected to see an IKEA truck parking by the house. This and the "oil orgy" that was that promo with the 4 youngest stars posing in a black sea make John Ross and Chris gayer than ever...Is there no mountain to brokeback in Southfork?

About Wendell, I´d guess that, since he was never mentioned again, he might as well have flown to Bermudas before being even prosecuted! (Rich) people do that in real life, imagine in a soap...The Jeremy probably had a HUGE account on Switzerland waiting for him to retire...How true (funny but true) was JW´s remark about Cliff´s mistakes!!

The mere fact of using the word "super" in something business-related speaks a lot of what kind of writers they have...It´s like having a dinner scene at Southfork and make a character say: "Hey, isn´t this a Happy Meal?" Just LAME. Did anyone think of the Tundra Torque when they spoke of the Arctic drilling? Oh Paulsen memories...What he would have done with these Ewing Global storylines...

About JR pushing his son to get "closer" to Emma in a deleted scene from the previous season:

1) "Pimping" was one of JR´s hobbies (just think how many times he used Serena to frame someone...not to mention the way he treated Casey Denault).

2) In only 2 seasons, JR tried to pimp his other son James A LOT of times: with that obnoxious Melinda girl, with Michelle and I might forget someone else...I can feel the beatification of JR blowing in the wind...
