The annual Awards Evening was held on Friday 19th May 2019 at Hospitals Sports & Social Club. Tony Fairburn was MC for the evening and trophies and awards were presented by Clive Warley (sponsors GMBU and Association President), Adam Exley (sponsors Red Goat Climbing Wall) and Judy Milner who presented the Brian Milner Memorial Trophy (York Closed Veterans' Singles).
Thanks are due to a lot of people, including Rich Crowther for booking the venue, Dianne Crowther for producing a brilliant buffet, Anne Barnard and Tim Smith for running the raffle, Mike Belton for getting the trophies engraved (and those who polished them), Tony Fairburn for his MC duties, Jean Carter for running the quiz and Dave Norville for taking photos. It was also good to hear that our sponsors (GMBU and Red Goat Climbing) are willing to continue their support into next season.

Moke Warburton (Coneysthorpe) won the York Closed Ladies' Singles, Ladies' Doubles (with Cathy Garnsworthy) and Mixed Doubles (with Martin Lowe).

Arthur Sorley (Shiyi Ling) and Sam Lowe (Coneysthorpe) won the York Closed Juniors Doubles title. Sam also won the York Closed Cadet (under 15) Singles.
York RI 'C' won Division two. Andy Kirk, Alex Kirk, Aidy McClaren and Tim Smith receive the trophy from Adam Exley (right).
Stephen Temple (Ryedale at RI) receives the York Closed Division Two trophy from Clive Warley.
Wigginton 'B' won Division Three. Mark Hodgson and Chris Bauer are pictured. Sam Crutchley also played. Mark also won the York Closed Handicap Doubles title (with Steve Cameron).
Wigginton 'C' won Division Four. Richard Bayliss, Nathan Fairburn, Ian Oxborough, Malcolm Sandlan are pictures. Nathan Fairburn also played. Ian Oxborough also won the York Closed Division Four Singles title.
Arthur Sorley (Shiyi Ling) was awarded the RE Jakeman Trophy for the most promising junior.
BT B were awarded the Ted Plant Trophy (most sporting team). Bill Carter, Dave Norville and Marian Broadbent are pictured. Jim Stevenson and Barry Thomas also played.
Chris Maud (Clarence TTC) receives a York Badge for representing York in the Yorkshire Veterans' League.
Tony Fairburn (Wigginton) is awarded the West Yorks Trophy (most done for the Association).
Shiyi Ling ‘B’ won the Shepherd Trophy. Arthur Sorley, Razvan Ababei and Tom Thorp receive the trophy from Clive Warley. Tom also won the York Closed Mixed Plate title.
Shiyi Ling 'C' won the Machell Trophy. Mikey Arnold and Gary Tranter are presented with the trophy by Clive Warley.
Adam Ridley (Topspin York) won the York Closed Handicap Singles.
Doug Muirhead (University) won the York Closed Hard-bat Doubles with Filip Wojtkowiak.
Ryan Jowsey (Shiyi Ling) and Joe Wright (Topspin York) were runners-up in the York Closed Hard-bat Doubles. Joe won the York Closed Division One Singles title.
