Clive Warley won the DSE class 6 singles at the national championships held at Grantham on 20^th and 21^st September 2003.

Yorkshire League

Men’s team won the championship. Chris Nicholls won all his matches.

Veterans’ first team were relegated from division 1.

Veterans’ second team finished 3rd in division 2. John Eastwood won over 70% of his matches.

Juniors’ team came 2^nd.

Success for York players at the Yorkshire ranking trials (6^th & 7^th October 2003 at Halifax)

Stephen Robinson - 4^th (Qualified for regional trials).

James Parker -10^th (Unlucky not to finish higher).

James Plowman - 35^th (Nervous early on but improved throughout the day).

Juniors (Under 18)

Richard Moss - 1^st (Qualified for regional trials. Didn't drop a set all day).

Stephen Robinson - 4^th (Qualified for regional trials. Unbelievable results. Performance of his life. Beat numerous players ranked way above him).

Joe Teale - 8^th (Another performance way above expectation).
