In Division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, champions Coneysthorpe A finished the season in style thrashing the bottom two teams, Clarence B and University A 10-0. Despite a battling 7-3 victory over University B, an unbeaten effort from student Isaac Beevor was enough to ensure that Clarence are relegated to division two. University will now need to prevail in a play-off against second division runners-up York RI D to retain their top flight status.
In the second division Bootham D had a strong finish to the season, first holding their B team to a 5-5 draw and then following this up with a 6-4 triumph over a depleted Wetherby team. John Temple secured his best win of the season with an excellent five game victory over Alan Balmforth which was secured with two thumping forehand hits. Mark Blackburn was too powerful as he guided York RI D to a 6-4 victory over Shepherds A and York RI C showed no mercy as they whitewashed Ryedale@RI. Mikey Arnold turned in a stunning performance, not dropping a game as York RI E secured a shock 6-4 victory over Bootham C. The four points obtained were however sufficient for Bootham to claim third position.
In the third division, Bootham F secured promotion as Steve and Matt Ayres were again undefeated in a 7-3 defeat of Clarence D. Bob Young was in top form as Clarence C beat York RI G 7-3. Shepherds C are relegated to the bottom tier following an 8-2 thumping by BT A, leaving Crescent E to contest the relegation playoff against division four runners up Bootham G. Champions RI F prevailed 6-4 against Burnholme B thanks to a treble from Adam Ridley.
In division four, champions York RI H ended their season on a high note as they whitewashed University C 10-0.

Coneysthorpe A have retained their title as Division One Champions of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League following an emphatic 9-1 victory over closest rivals York RI A. James Rule, Martin Lowe and Joel Wright were all undefeated and the only consolation for York RI A came in the final doubles set. Elsewhere Clarence A and York RI B fought out a tight 5-5 draw and Jon Wooldridge and Jimmy Mills starred as Bootham A dispatched Coneysthorpe B 8-2. The two points were however sufficient for Coneysthorpe to ensure first division status next season and the relegation battle is between University A and Clarence B.
In the second division Bootham D dispatched a depleted Tramways 8-2 and York RI C thrashed Shepherds B 9-1. Will Beedham turned in a superb performance as a vibrant Shepherds A overturned York RI E 8-2 and Bootham C had no answer to Alan Balmforth or Graham Bowland in a 7-3 reversal. Bootham B edged a tense encounter with Ryedale&RI 6-4.
York RI F clinched the third division crown in style with a 9-1 demolition of Crescent E with Adam Ridley and Dom Ainger untroubled. Bootham F remain hot favourites for the second promotion slot as Steve and Matt Ayres starred in an impressive 8-2 triumph over Clarence C. At the other end of the table Crescent E pulled off a stunning 10-0 victory against relegation rivals Shepherds C and with one match now remaining, Shepherds C appear destined to be playing in the fourth tier next season. Peter Corner was on top form as Botham E defeated Clarence D 6-4 and Jim Stevenson was too strong as he led BT B to a fine 7-3 triumph over a fading York RI G. Trebles from Mich Slezak and Adrian Church ensured division three status next season for Burnholme B as they hammered Shepherds C 9-1.
In division four, Bootham G pulled off a superb 6-4 victory against previously unbeaten York RI H, but the four points gained by the railwaymen were sufficient for them to claim the title. Russ Barton was in excellent form for Bootham beating rival Paul Greenwood in a thriller that he finally clinched 21-19 in the fifth end. Bootham G now need to win a playoff to secure promotion. Honours were even as Trustmarque and Wigginton and Haxby fought out a 5-5 draw whilst Lewis Harrison and Adam Webb were too strong as York RI J thumped York RI I 8-2 to avoid the wooden spoon.

York RI C are confirmed as division two champions of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League following a 9-1 hammering of Bootham B, with Philippe Leopold, Jeff Cohen and Fletcher all undefeated. Stablemates York RI D matched this by defeating relegated Shepherds B by the same margin to secure second place, and the chance to playoff in May for a place in division one next season. Shepherds A put in their best performance of the season to secure a surprise 7-3 triumph over Wetherby. Ian Williams was on top form but a welcome treble from the experienced Keith Webster proved decisive. Ady McClaren and in form Gareth Bryning were too strong as Bootham C thrashed their D team 8-2 and Ryedale@RI showed no mercy as they derailed Tramways 9-1 with Stephen Temple and John Freeman unbeaten.
In the first division, Coneysthorpe B secured crucial points in their battle to avoid relegation but a treble from Aidan Ranftler secured a 6-4 victory for Clarence A. Jimmy Mills starred as Bootham A defeated Clarence B, with Milo Cupik playing well for Clarence to overcome both Jonathan Wooldridge and Nathan Taylor.
Bootham F are the form team in division three and they took a giant step toward promotion with a 10-0 whitewashing of BT B. York RI F look certain to secure the title after Adam Ridley and Dom Ainger steered them to an impressive 8-2 victory over Bootham E. York RI G were pushed to the limit by Clarence D before snatching a 5-5 draw and Howard Lewis made the difference as Burnholme A recorded a 7-3 victory over their B team. Bob Young and Simona Stanynaite starred as Clarence C thumped BT A 8-2.
York RI H edged closer to the fourth division title as Paul Greenwood inspired than to an 8-2 win over York RI I. Wigginton and Haxby secured third place as inform Naz Hosseinian ended undefeated in an 8-2 defeat of York RI J. Paul Lodder was on top form as Crescent F prevailed 7-3 against Trustmarque

In division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, Coneysthorpe A retained their firm grip on the title with Martin Lowe and James Rule unbeaten in a 7-3 victory over York RI B. Clarence A showed no mercy with a 10-0 whitewashing of University A and Paul Robertson steered York RI A to a 7-3 success over Bootham A. Chris Londesbrough was on top form for Coneysthorpe B as they secured a crucial 7-3 win over Clarence B.
Shepherds B are confirmed as relegated from the second division following a 10-0 thrashing by Bootham B and they will be joined in the third division next season by University B who went down 7-3 to Wetherby Sports, despite a valiant effort from Alex McCarthy. York RI D whitewashed York RI E and Shepherds A shared the points with Bootham D thanks to a fine treble from Ian Williams. York RI C moved closer to securing the title dispatching a depleted Tramways 8-2. Gareth Bryning continued his fine season with three wins as his Bootham C thumped Ryedale@RI 8-2 with only Ed Wardman offering any resistance.
York RI F moved closer to securing the third division title with Lewis McCarthy and Adam Ridley untroubled in an 8-2 defeat of Clarence D whilst Bootham F continued their recent strong run with Rich Collyer starring in a 6-4 victory over promotion rivals York RI G. Burnholme A recorded a 6-4 victory over a battling Clarence E thanks to Chris McCluskie and Burnholme B secured a valuable 6-4 win against a two man Clarence C. Shepherds C found Jan Suchecki and Pete Corner too powerful and they slipped to an 8-2 defeat to Bootham E. A fine unbeaten effort from Jim Stevenson was not enough to prevent BT B suffering a 6-4 reversal against BT A
York RI H are close to securing the division four title after a 10-0 whitewashing of York RI I and Crescent F subjected York RI J to the same result. Wigginton and Haxby strengthened their hold on third place as Naz Hosseinian and Roy Barker starred in a 9-1 demolition of University C.

In division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, Coneysthorpe A strengthened their grip on the title as Martin Lowe steered them to an 8-2 triumph over Clarence A. It was also a good week for York RI A who defeated Clarence B 8-2 and then whitewashed University A with Paul Robertson unbeaten in both matches. Coneysthorpe B eased their relegation fears with an important 7-3 victory over University A for whom Isaac Beevor was unbeaten.
Jeff Cohen and Andy Fletcher were too powerful as division two leaders York RI C thrashed Bootham C 9-1 whilst Bootham D posted a 7-3 victory over University B thanks to a maximum from Dave Quinlan. A treble from Stephen Temple was decisive at Ryedale@RI defeated Shepherds A 6-4 and despite an unbeaten effort from Ian Hilton, Wetherby Sports went down 7-3 to York RI D. It was a memorable night for Shepherds B who secured their first victory of the season as Mike Surtees and Paul Kozyra starred in a 6-4 victory over York RI E.
York RI F look to be unassailable in division three following a 10-0 thumping of relegation threatened Shepherds C whilst Clarence C prevailed 8-2 against a depleted Crescent E. Mich Slezak offered stern resistance but despite his efforts Burnholme B lost 6-4 to BT B whilst Bootham E defeated a two man Burnholme A 7-3. An undefeated effort from Peter Smalley could not prevent York RI G slipping to a 6-4 defeat against promotion rivals BT A. Bootham F had no fixture this week but are now looking favourites to claim the second promotion slot.
In division four, Crescent F thrashed University C 10-0 and second placed Bootham G matched this performance defeating York RI J by the same margin. Chris Maude was on top form as Wigginton and Haxby thrashed York RI I 8-2 and Paul Greenwood was too good as leaders York RI F defeated Trustmarque by the same scoreline. John Watts was unbeaten as University C prevailed 7-3 against York RI I.

In division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, second placed York RI A had Filip Wojtkowiak and Jon Chabry to thanks for an emphatic 8-2 victory over Coneysthorpe B and a treble from Jon Wooldridge was decisive as Bootham A prevailed 6-4 in a close tussle against Clarence A. Martin Hood and Milo Cupik contributed two wins each as Clarence B recorded an excellent 6-4 victory over York RI B and in a re-arranged fixture a maximum from Paul Robertson was required to allow York RI A to salvage a 5-5 draw against an in-form Bootham A.
In the second division an excellent maximum from Alex McCarthy could not prevent University B slipping to a 6-4 defeat to Ryedale@RI and the improving Joe Wright was the star as Wetherby inflicted an 8-2 defeat on York RI E. Father and son combination, Mark and Luke Blackburn were too good as York RI D recorded a 7-3 victory over Bootham D and Gareth Bryning was undefeated as Bootham C drew with rivals Bootham B. Ryan Hood was in good form as Tramways cruised to an 8-2 triumph over Shepherds B with only Mike Surtees offering any resistance. Leaders York RI C thrashed Shepherds A 9-1 thanks to Jeff Cohen and Andy Fletcher.
Adam Ridley made the difference as division three leaders RI F saw off a determined Burnholme A 6-4 and Nigel Baker picked up three value points for Shepherds C as they went down by the same scoreline to Clarence D. Veteran defender Ray Mitchell recorded a notable victory over Bob Young and this was sufficient to allow Bootham E to share the spoils with Clarence C. BT B thumped a depleted Crescent E 9-1 whilst high flying York RI G were pushed all the way by a battling Burnholme B before securing a tight 6-4 victory. Twins Matt and Steve Ayres were too good as in an in-form Bootham F triumphed 8-2 against promotion rivals BT A.
In the fourth division, Russ Barton and Jason Chinnian were untroubled as Bootham G thrashed University C 9-1. Paul Greenwood was on top form for York RI H as they overcame Wigginton and Haxby 7-3 and York RI J earned a welcome 5-5 draw against a depleted Trustmarque team. Paul Lodder and Keith Hood were were too strong as Crescent F defeated York RI I 8-2 but the high point of the evening was a much deserved first success in the York winter league by 10 year old Alex Robinson.

In division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, Martin Lowe and James Rules were unstoppable as leaders Coneysthorpe A beat Coneysthorpe B 7-3. Aidan Ranftler was untroubled as Clarence A heaped further misery on stablemates Clarence B with a convincing 8-2 victory and despite a maximum haul for Isaac Beevor, Bootham A edged a close encounter with University A 6-4. York RI A had Filip Wojtkowiak to thanks for a 6-4 victory over York RI B, Nathan Horsley and Jake McCarthy played well contributing two win each for the B team.
In the second division, the top two sides both showed their class, recording 10-0 whitewashes. York RI C thrashed University B and York RI D repeated this against Ryedale@RI. Ian Williams bagged a treble but could not prevent Shepherds A falling 6-4 to Bootham B whilst Ady McClaren starred for Bootham C in a 7-3 defeat of Tramways.
Second placed Bootham F continued their run of excellent results in the third division with a 9-1 thrashing of Burnholme B, Matt Ayres and Richard Collyer too good. Howard Broadbent was on top form as BT A kept their promotion hopes alive with an 8-2 defeat Clarence D and Adam Ridley starred for leaders York RI F as they resisted a determined challenge from Clarence C to emerge with a 6-4 victory. BT B and Bootham E battled out a 5-5 draw with Pete Corner unbeaten for Bootham.
In division 4, Paul Greenwood was unbeaten for leaders York RI H in their 8-2 triumph over an improving York RI J whilst Naz Hosseinian contributed a fine treble to secure an 8-2 victory for his Wigginton and Haxby against Crescent E. In a fixture between two depleted teams, Trustmarque defeated University C 7-2.

The key match this week in the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League was the clash between the top two sides in the second division, York RI C and York RI D. Luke Blackburn inflicted only the second defeat of the season on Andy Fletcher but by the end of the night, honours were even as the C team preserved their unbeaten record, battling back from 4-1 down to snatch a draw with victory in the doubles. Bootham C whitewashed relegation bound Shepherds B 10-0 whist Dave Rawlings and Rich Harrison starred at Bootham B thumped University B 9-1. A treble from Tim Smith was not enough to prevent his York RI E slipping to a 6-4 defeat to Ryedale@RI.
In division one, Martin Lowe was too strong as leaders Coneysthorpe A beat Bootham A 7-3, whilst Joel Wright produced his best performance of the season as Coneysthorpe B picked up valuable points in an important 8-2 triumph over York RI B. York RI A were stopped in their tracks by Aidan Ranftler as they shared the spoils with Clarence A, John Farmery also playing well to defeat Paul Robertson.

Bootham F cruised into second place as Richard Collyer and Lee Poulter starred in a 9-1 thrashing of Crescent E. Pete Corner was on top form as Bootham E defeated York RI G 7-3 and Chris McLuskie was unbeaten as Burnholme A prevailed against Clarence D by the same scoreline. Clarence C defeated Shepherds C 8-2 thanks to Simona Stanynaite and Bob Young whilst BT A only clinched a 6-4 victory against Burnholme B in the doubles which was taken 20-18 in the final game.

In the first division of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, student Isaac Beevor pulled off a notable victory over one of York’s top players, Paul Robertson but this was not enough to prevent York RI A securing a 7-3 victory over University A. Joel Wright played superbly to help Coneysthorpe gain invaluable points in a 5-5 draw again Bootham A whilst Coneysthorpe A thrashed a depleted Clarence B 9-1. A treble from Aidan Ranftler was not enough to prevent Clarence A being held to a 5-5 draw against York RI B.
In the second division, leaders York RI E beat York RI C 7-3 with Andy Fletcher unbeaten, but he was pushed to the limit by rising star Mikey Arnold, recovering from a two game deficit to clinch victory 11-9 in the final end. Arnold went on to complete a memorable evening with excellent victories over highly rated Jeff Cohen and Philippe Leopold. Mark Blackburn was untroubled as second placed York RI D continued their good run with a 7-3 victory over Bootham B and Bootham D dispatched Shepherds B 9-1 thanks to unbeaten performances from Dave Robinson and Dave Quinlan. Despite the efforts of in-form Alex McCarthy, Tramways edged out a two man University B 6-4 and a treble from Ian Hilton allowed Wetherby to secure a 5-5 draw against Ryedale@RI.
In division three, Jim Stevenson starred at BT B dispatched Shepherds C 8-2 whilst Clarence C had a tight 6-4 win over Burnholme A thanks to Bob Young. Adam Ridley was the difference as top of the table York RI F defeated second placed York RI G 7-3 and Steve Ayres, on his return to competitive table tennis after a number of year’s absence, helped Bootham F defeat Bootham E by the same scoreline.
In division 4, Lewis Harrison continued his recent run of good form with an unbeaten performance as York RI J celebrated their first win of season, 6-4 against York RI I. A treble from Jason Chinnian made the difference as Bootham G edged a close encounter with Crescent F 6-4, whilst leaders York RI H strengthened their position at the top with an emphatic 9-1 triumph against a two man University C

It was a memorable week for Clarence B as they battled to their first victory of the season in division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League. Their 6-4 defeat of Bootham A was only secured in the final end of the doubles set. Martin Lowe was pushed to the limit by Paul Robertson but his unbeaten effort was decisive as Conyesthorpe A defeated title rival York RI A 7-3. John Farmery and Aidan Ranftler were on top form as Clarence A thrashed University A 8-2 and they followed this up with a 7-3 victory over Coneysthorpe B, Ranftler again untroubled. Nathan Horsley put in a fine performance to help York RI B to a 7-3 defeat of University A.
In the second division, Mark Blackburn and John Hughes were too strong for Tramways as York RI registered an 8-2 triumph and Adam Ridley was the star as York RI E surprised high flying Bootham B with a 7-3 victory. John Flintoft was unbeaten for Ryedale@RI but a brace from John Temple helped Bootham D snatch a 5-5 draw. Ian Hilton and Ian Wright led Wetherby Sports to a comprehensive 9-1 triumph over University B whilst Ian Williams and Will Beedham were undefeated as Shepherds A registered the same margin of victory against Shepherds B. Bootham C defeated University B 7-3 thanks to Gareth Bryning.
In division three, York RI G showed no mercy to a fading Shepherds C with a 10-0 whitewash. York RI F remain in pole position with Adam Ridley and Dom Ainger steering them to an 8-2 victory over Bootham F. Michal Slezak has had a good start to the second half and his treble proved decisive as bottom placed Burnholme B defeated relegation rivals Crescent E 6-4.
York RI H remain top of division 4 as a treble from Paul Greenwood secured a 5-5 draw against rivals Bootham G. York RI I came out on top 6-4 after a hard fought battle against University C and a maximum haul from Roy Barker helped Wigginton and Haxby to an 8-2 triumph over York RI J. A depleted Trustmarque held on for a 5-5 draw against Crescent F and Bootham G whitewashed University C 10-0.

There was an upset in division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, as despite the efforts of Martin Lowe, champions Coneysthorpe A slumped to a 6-4 defeat to York RI B. Rich Crowther inflicted a rare defeat on Ashley Hodgson who was then forced to withdraw from battle due to injury. Joel Wright and Chris Londesbrough were too strong as Coneysthorpe B registered a convincing 8-2 victory over Clarence B.
In the second division, Andy Fletcher and Jeff Cohen starred as leaders York RI C saw off a battling Bootham D 9-1 and John Flintoft was unbeaten for Ryedale@RI as they posted an 8-2 victory over bottom placed Shepherds B. York RI E had Adam Ridley and Tim Smith to thank as they edged out Tramways 6-4 and a treble from Alex McCarthy could not prevent University B falling 7-3 to Shepherds B. There was an epic battle between high flying York RI D and Bootham C that was only completed approaching midnight, with the railwaymen clinching a 6-4 victory in the final doubles game.
In division three, Howard Broadbent turned back the clock with an unbeaten performance to help promoting seeking BT A gain a 5-5 draw with leaders RI F; Broadbent ending the 100% record of Adam Ridley in the process. York RI G required an unbeaten performance from Peter Smalley to secure a tight 6-4 triumph over Burnholme A and Bootham F thrashed Shepherds C 9-1 thanks to Matt Ayres and Richard Collyer. An undefeated effort from Jim Stevenson was decisive at BT B registered a fine 6-4 win over Clarence C whilst Peter Taylor contributed a treble in a 6-4 victory for Clarence D over Crescent E. Michal Slezak inflicted only the third defeat of the season on Pete Corner as his treble allowed bottom team Burnholme B to secure an important 5-5 draw against Bootham E.
In the only fixture in the fourth division, improving youngster Lewis Harrison turned in his best performance to date, his three wins allowing bottom placed York RI J to gain a draw against Crescent F.

In division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, despite the efforts of Aidan Ranftler, leaders Coneysthorpe A ended the first half of the season with an emphatic 10-0 whitewash of Clarence A. Nathan Taylor and John Wooldridge were on top form as Bootham A posted a 7-3 victory over York RI B and in a re-arranged fixture another star performance was required from Wooldridge for Bootham to share the spoils with Clarence A in a 5-5 draw.
In the second division, late substitute Steve Milner made the difference as Bootham C battled to a 7-3 victory over Bootham D whist York RI D cruised into second place after thrashing Shepherds A 10-0. Wetherby Sports Association had Alan Balmforth on top form in an 8-2 triumph over Tramways and a fine performance from Alex McCarthy denied Shepherds B their first win of the season as they were held to a 5-5 draw by University B. It was a good week for Bootham C as they recorded victories against Tramways (7-3) and York RI E (6-4) with Adrian McClaren unbeaten. York RI C remain in pole position with star players Andy Fletcher and Jeff Cohen untroubled in an 8-2 defeat of Rydale@RI.
In division three, Clarence C continued their winning streak with Bob Young undefeated in victories against both Clarence D (7-3) and promotion rivals York RI G (6-4). Tom Lines put in his best performance of the season as his treble helped Crescent E to a crucial 6-4 victory over Burnholme B. Clarence D defeated BT B 7-3 thanks to a maximum for Peter Taylor and Pete Corner starred as Bootham E edged Crescent E 6-4. Matt Ayres was too good as Burnholme A crashed to a 7-3 defeat against Bootham F and BT A posted an 8-2 win over Shepherds C thanks to unbeaten efforts from Jim Stevenson and and Terry Botting. York RI F pulled further away from the pack after whitewashing bottom of the table Burnholme B.
In division four, Roy Barker played well as Wigginton and Haxby secured a close 6-4 win over York RI I. York RI J were beaten 8-2 by Bootham G and were then thrashed 10-0 by Trustmarque.

In division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, Clarence B went down 9-1 to York RI B but the score does not accurately reflect the closeness of the match with Clarence taking six of the nine sets they lost to a deciding fifth game. York RI A had Paul Robertson and Mick Wilcockson to thank for an 8-2 victory over Coneythorpe B whilst leaders Coneysthorpe A whitewashed a weakened University A 10-0.
In the second division, Dave Robinson and Nigel Reeson starred as Bootham D derailed Tramways 9-1 and York RI C showed no mercy as they whitewashed Shepherds B 10-0. Ian Hilton was on top form as Wetherby Sports Association continued their recent run of good form with a 7-3 victory over Bootham C and Ian Williams was unbeaten as Shepherd A overcame York RI E 7-3. Richard Ingleby was a late inclusion for Bootham C and he turned in a match winning performance in a 7-3 defeat of Ryedale@RI. John Hughes was too strong as his York RI D overpowered University B 8-2, although Alex McCarthy did well to pick up a brace for the students.
York RI F strengthened their claim for the division three title by trashing a depleted Crescent E 10-0 and Bob Young starred as Clarence C maintained their momentum with a close 6-4 win over Bootham F. Peter Corner was unbeaten, but Bootham E struggled to fend off a battling two man Clarence D 6-4. York RI G has only lost one match this season but they required a maximum from Peter Smalley to gain a 5-5 draw with BT B. Shepherds C battled to an important victory over Burnholme B, recovering from 4-2 down to clinch victory by taking the last four sets.
York RI H remain top of division four with Paul Greenwood and Peter Griffiths excelling in a 9-1 triumph over Wigginton and Haxby. It was a good week for Crescent F as they thrashed bottom placed York RI I 9-1 and then followed this up with a 7-3 victory over Unversity C, although Andew Rouse played well to record a maximum for the students.

Promoted Clarence B are still without a win in division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League but they pushed Clarence A to the limit in an agonising 6-4 defeat that was only confirmed by the final doubles set. Mick Kenyon picked up two fine wins for the B team but it was a battling treble from Aidan Ranftler that ultimately proved decisive. Joel Wright played superbly to overcome Ashley Hodgson in straight sets but it was the only positive for Coneysthorpe B as they went down 9-1 to champions Conesythorpe A. Agoston Hoffmann produced his best performance of the season for University A but his maximum could not prevent the students falling to a 6-4 defeat to Bootham A. York RI A had a comfortable 8-2 victory over York RI A with Jon Chabry and Mick Wilcockson too strong. In a re-arranged fixture, Isaac Beevor starred as University B thrashed Coneysthorpe B 8-2, Martin Brown surprised Chris Londesbrough, beating him in four tight games.
In the second division, Alan Balmforth celebrated his return from injury with an unbeaten performance as Wetherby Sports Association thrashed Shepherds A 9-, Ian Hilton also contributing three wins. Andy Fletcher was on top form as leaders York RI C secured a convincing 8-2 victory over Bootham B although the overall score does not reflect the closeness of many of the sets. In form Gareth Bryning was undefeated as he led Bootham B to a 7-3 defeat of Bootham D, and a treble from Mickey Arnold was the highlight of a 7-3 triumph for York RI E over University B. Mick Surtees played well to pick up a brace for bottom placed Shepherds B but a treble from Mark Blackburn ensured a comfortable 8-2 victory for York RI D. John Flintoft made the difference as Rydale@RI edged a tight encounter with Tramways 6-4.
In division three, it was another excellent week for the two York RI teams. York RI F remain in the top spot as Adam Ridley starred in an 8-2 thumping of a weakened Bootham E and Paul Greenwood, playing up from division four, was unbeaten as York RI G overcame Clarence D by the same score line. Three wins from Steve Webster was key as Shepherds C picked up a welcome 7-3 win against Crescent E. Bob Young and Simona Stanynaite were once gain unbeaten as the improving Clarence C earned an excellent 7-3 victory over high flying BT A and Burnholme A defeated their B team by a 7-3 score line. Richard Collyer was untroubled as Bootham F recorded a 7-3 victory over BT B with Russ Barton, playing up from division four securing an excellent win over the experienced Jim Stevenson.
The top two teams in division four both registered whitewashes against the bottom two teams with York RI H proving far too strong for a York RI J and Bootham G showing no mercy to York RI I. Improving Wigginton and Haxby drew level with Trustmarque in third place as Chris Maude and Roy Barker steered then to a 9-1 triumph over Crescent F. University C and Trustmarque clashed twice this week with University winning their home match 7-3 and the match at Trustmarque ending in a 5-5 draw. Student, Lasse Kieosw was unbeaten in both matches.

Leaders Coneysthorpe A remain top of division one in the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League following a 10-0 whitewash over a depleted Bootham A. Paul Robertson and Filip Wojtkowiak starred as second placed York RI A thrashed Clarence A 8-2 whilst York RI B had a hard fought 6-4 victory against Coneysthorpe B. In the bottom half of the tables, Isaac Beevor was too strong for Clarence B as he helped University A to an important 6-4 win.
York RI C retained pole position in the second division as Andy Fletcher powered them to an 8-2 triumph over Tramways although Rob Farmery picked up a notable victory over Jeff Cohen for the losers. Ian Williams guided Shepherds A to a 7-3 defeat of Bootham D whilst Mark Blackburn and John Hughes were unbeaten as York RI D thrashed York RI E 9-1. Gareth Bryning and Ady McClaren rose to the challenge winning all their singles as they steered a two man Bootham C to a 7-3 victory over Ryedale@RI. Bootham B showed no mercy as they whitewashed bottom team, Shepherds B 10-0.
In division three, Helmsley based Adam Ridley maintained his unbeaten record, leading York RI F to a close 6-4 defeat of Clarence D. Bob Young and Simona Stanynaite each contributed trebles as Clarence C thrashed bottom of the table Burnholme B 9-1 whilst Howard Broadbent was unbeaten as high-flying BT A had a comfortable 8-2 victory over BT B. A depleted Shepherds C went down 6-3 to Bootham E for whom Jan Suchecki was forced to retire due to injury, whilst despite a maximum from Matt Ayres, Bootham F were beaten 6-4 by York RI G.
In division four, York RI H thrashed Crescent F 9-1, whilst it required a top performance from Jason Chinnian for Bootham G to hold a determined Wigginton and Haxby to a 5-5 draw.

Rivals York RI A dropped valuable points in a 7-3 defeat of University A despite a treble from Paul Robertson. Agoston Hoffman played well for the students picking up fine wins against both Filip Wojtkowiak and Jonathan Chabry. John Wooldridge contributed three wins to help Bootham A secure a 5-5 draw against Coneysthorpe A
In the second division, Jeff Cohen was on top form as he steered leaders York RI C to a 7-3 triumph over Bootham C, although Ady McClaren played well for Bootham to end the unbeaten record of Andy Fletcher. York RI E outclassed a struggling Shepherds B with a 10-0 whitewash whilst Dave Robinson and Richard Ingleby posted maximums as Bootham D thrashed University B 9-1. Mike Robinson was too strong for Bootham B but he could not prevent Tramways slipping to a 6-4 defeat. Joe Wright played well to pick up two wins as a depleted Wetherby Sports Association went down 6-4 to York RI D, whilst Pickering based John Flintoft was the star performer as Ryedale@RI had a close 6-4 victory over Shepherds A.
York RIF retained leadership of the third division with a 9-1 thrashing of Shepherds C, Adam Ridley and Lewis McCarthy too powerful whilst Clarence C showed no mercy to Crescent E as Bob Young and Simona Stanynaite starred in a 9-1 triumph. York RI G had Peter Smalley to thanks for a close 6-4 defeat of Burnholme A and they followed that up with another 6-4 victory over BT A, despite the efforts of Howard Broadbent. Matt Ayres and Richard Collyer helped Bootham F to a 7-3 victory over Burnholme A.
In division four, the top ranked player Paul Greenwood had to withdraw from the match with illness but his York RI H snatched a 5-5 draw with University C thanks to the efforts of John Stokes. Dom McHugh helped Trustmarque to a 7-3 defeat of Wigginton and Haxby whilst Paul Lodder starred as Crescent F recorded an 8-2 victory over York RI J. York RI I edged a close battle with York RI J 6-4.

The top match in division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League was the clash of the top 2 teams with York RI A hosting Coneysthorpe A. Coneysthorpe were rocked by the withdrawal of Martin Lowe and Ashley Hodgson whilst York RI were missing their skipper, Mick Wilcockson. The result was an emphatic 8-2 triumph for the railwaymen with Filip Wojtkowiak back on top form with a treble.
Coneysthorpe B had Chris Londesbrough to thank for a welcome 6-4 victory over Clarence A and John Wooldridge was too strong for Clarence B as he led his Bootham A to an 8-2 win. Andy Fletcher celebrated his top flight debut win three wins as he helped York RI B to a 7-3 victory over University A
In division two, it was a mixed week for the previously unbeaten Bootham C. They convincingly dispatched an unbeaten Bootham B team with excellent performances from Ady McClaren and Gareth Bryning but in the shock result of the season, they were brought back to earth by a struggling University B who had Alex McCarthy to thank for a memorable 6-4 triumph, McClaren losing his 100% singles record with defeats to both McCarthy and the improving Jack Taylor. Leaders York RI C whitewashed Shepherds A and an unbeaten performance from Pat Swindell was decisive as York RI D thrashed Bootham D 9-1. John Freeman was on top form as his Ryedale@RI thrashed University B 8-2 but later in the week, a resurgent Bootham D were too good for Ryedale with Dave Quinlan leading them to a welcome 7-3 victory.
It was a good week for York RI in the third division. York RI F leapt to the top of the table after a 9-1 thrashing of Burnholme A whilst York RI G went one better by whitewashing Burnholme B to assume second place. Clarence D picked up their second win of the season with an 8-2 defeat of Shepherds C. Russ Scott played well on his debut and was ably supported by Pete Taylor. BT B thrashed Crescent E 9-1 whilst Bootham E needed a treble from Pete Corner to gain a 5-5 draw with Clarence C.
The top two sides in division four clashed this week and it was York RI H who emerged triumphant after John Stokes and Paul Greenwood inspired then to a 7-3 victory over rivals Bootham G. Mike Dinsdale picked up a fine treble against Wigginton and Haxby but he could not prevent his York RI I slumping to a 7-3 defeat. Trustmarque dispatched a depleted Crescent E 9-1 and debutant Hannah Hoskin was too good for York RI I as supported by Andrew Rouse she helped University C to a convincing 9-1 victory over York RI I.

It was business as usual at the top of division one of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League with pacesetters Coneysthorpe A and York RI A both registering emphatic 9-1 victories. Coneysthorpe were too strong for Clarence A although Aidan Ranftler played well to defeat Ashley Hodgson. Milo Cupik placed superbly to pick up the sole point for Clarence B against York RI A by overcoming Filip Wojtkowiak. Nathan Taylor continued his good start at this level, as partnered by Jonathan Wooldridge, he helped Bootham A to a 7-3 triumph over York RI B whilst University A posted their first win of the season as a treble from Isaac Beevor was sufficient to ensure a close 6-4 win over Coneysthorpe B.
In division two, new boys Wetherby Sports Association registered their first victory of the season with a 7-3 defeat of Bootham D, Neil Lynch and Ian Hilton too strong. Mike Wheatley and Rob Farmery put in a battling performance for a depleted Tramways team, and despite a maximum from Ian Williams were able to secure a 5-5 draw against Shepherds A. Mike Cooper and Rachel Greener were in top form for Bootham B in a 9-1 thrashing of University B whilst the struggling Shepherds B were shown no mercy by Bootham C in a 10-0 whitewash. Andy Fletcher remains unbeaten this season for York RI C and a treble from him was required to see off a tenacious York RI D 6-4. Despite an unbeaten performance from Stephen Temple, Ryedale@RI slumped to a 6-4 defeat against York RI E for whom Mikey Arnold and debutant Adam Ridley contributed two wins each.
In division three, Bob Young was on top form as he steered his depleted Clarence C to a battling 6-4 victory over Shepherds C. Jan Suchecki and Pete Corner were undefeated in division three as Bootham E posted a 7-3 victory over York RI G, whist BT A had a resounding 8-2 triumph over Burnholme B with Howard Broadbent untroubled. Bootham F dispatched a two man Crescent E 7-3 and a depleted Clarence D were thrashed 8-2 by Burnholme A.
York RI H are favourites for the division four crown and they underlined this with a 9-1 thrashing of Trustmarque whilst an experienced Crescent F team defeated University C 7-3 to register their second win of the season.

York RI A were in superb form in the first division of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, as they whitewashed Coneysthorpe B with Mick Wilcockson, Flip Wojtkowiak and Paul Robertson too good. Ashley Hodgson and Martin Lowe contributed maximums as Coneysthorpe A thrashed University A 9-1. Three wins from Jane Cohen were enough for York RI B to see off a battling Clarence B 6-4 whilst a treble from Aidan Ranftler proved decisive in a 6-4 victory for Clarence A over Bootham A
In division two, York RI C maintained their strong start as Andy Fletcher led them to an 8-2 triumph over York RI E. For the losers, the rapid improving Mikey Arnold underlined his potential with a stunning victory over Phil Leopold. Bootham C had Ady McClaren to thank in a 6-4 victory over Shepherds A, whilst Shepherds B were shown no mercy by Bootham D in a 10-0 thrashing, with a determined John Temple posting his first maximum in 2 years. New boys Wetherby went down 8-2 to Ryedale@RI with John Flintoft on top form and Bootham B had an excellent win over York RI D with Mike Cooper claiming a key win over veteran defender John Hughes. A two man Tramways did well to escape with a 5-5 draw against University B for whom Alex McCarthy was undefeated in his first game at this level.
Bootham F edged out rivals Bootham E 6-4 in division three, with Matt Ayres too good. Despite the efforts of Jim Stevenson, Shepherd C played superbly to post their first victory in two seasons prevailing 6-4 against BT B, David Atkinson, Steve Webster and Nigel Baker all claiming two wins. In division four, it was a tough week for York RI J who were thrashed 10-0 by both Trustmarque and York RI H. York RI H followed this up with a 7-3 defeat of Haxby & Wigginton with Paul Greenwood the star man. Mike Belton and Keith Hood were too strong for York RI I as they led Crescent F to a 9-1 triumph whilst Bootham G continued their positive start to the season with an 8-2 victory over University C.

It was a quiet second week in the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, with many postponed fixtures. In the only first division match, York RI A maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 7-3 victory over club mates York RI B with Paul Robertson and Filip Wojtkowiak too good.
In division two, Bootham B posted their second win of the season but were pushed all the way by a Tim Smith inspired York RI E before clinching a 6-4 victory with a tight doubles victory. Mikey Arnold played well to beat Richard Ingleby who will be better for the game, having missed a whole year due to injury. Shepherds B suffered a 9-1 defeat against their A team for whom Ian Williams and Pete Harpham contributed maximums, whist John Hughes and Mark Blackburn were on top form as their York RI D derailed Tramways 9-1.
In the third division Mikey Arnold inspired York RI F to a 7-3 victory over Bootham F, for whom Russ Barton playing up from division four, played well to defeat Dom Ainger. Shepherds C slumped to a 9-1 defeat against York RI G with Anne Barnard and Peter Smalley in top form, whilst Howard Lewis led Burnholme A to a solid 7-3 win against BT B. In the only division four fixture, Bootham G whitewashed York RI I with Paul Seekings earning a man of the match rating on his York debut.

In the first division of the SLT FM Solutions Ltd York and District Table Tennis League, reigning champions Coneysthorpe A started the new campaign in determined mood as Martin Lowe and Ashley Hodgson steered them to a 9-1 triumph over Bootham A. However top performance of the night went to Bootham’s Nathan Taylor who on his division one debut, secured a stunning victory over James Rule. York RI A needed a treble from Mick Wilcoxon to secure a hard fought 6-4 win over Clarence A for whom Graham Hatfield had a notable victory over Paul Robertson. Jane Cohen and Jonathan Chabry were undefeated in a 7-3 win for York RI B against Coneysthorpe B.
York RI C are favourites for the second division title and they underlined this with a 9-1 thumping of Bootham D, Jeff Cohen and Andy Fletcher posting maximums. Bootham C were too good for a depleted York RI D, Gareth Bryning excelling with wins against both Mark and Luke Blackburn in a 7-3 scoreline. Debutant Stephen Temple led Ryedal@RI to an 8-2 win over Shepherds B for who Paul Kozyra played well to defeat John Flintoft.

Shepherds C could not prevent a 6-4 loss to Bootham F, for whom Richard Collyer was on top form, whilst Bootham E cruised to an 8-2 victory over promoted Burnholme B thanks to Pete Corner and Jan Suchecki.
In division four, a strong looking York RI H side underlined their title ambitions with an emphatic 8-2 win against Crescent F with Paul Greenwood and Peter Griffiths untroubled, whilst Trustmarque posted the same score line against York RI I thanks to Ollie Bailey and Dom McHugh.
