York RI A won the Summer League, beating Bootham CC B in the final by the narrowest of margins. The match was drawn, 5-5, so countback was used to decide the winners and York RI A came out on top by eight points. Jake McCarthy and Nathan Taylor won two each for York RI A while Mike Cooper won two for Bootham CC B. The other three players won one each. York RI took a 3-0 lead but Bootham took the next three to level the match. York RI then took the next two to lead 5-3. Bootham won the next to make it 5-4 and so the match went to the final game, the doubles, which Bootham won but not by enough points. York RI also won their semi-final against AVIVA on countback after the match was drawn. The other semi-final was also close, with Bootham coming out on top by 5.5 to 3.5. Thanks to Terry Botting for organising the competition again this season.
