The group winners (York RI A, York RI E, Clarence B) are joined by the best runners-up (York RI B). The best runners-up position was very close, decided by the rule “In the event of teams finishing equal on points in the league the team with the best playing record (most wins followed by most draws if wins equal) will progress to the play offs." York RI B and Clarence A both finished on 53.5 points and had the same number of wins in Section A but York RI B drew more matches. They also had the same number of points as Section B runners-up Wigginton & Haxby B but won more matches.
