The annual Awards Evening was held on Friday 18th May 2018 at Holgate Club. Trophies and awards were presented by Clive Warley (GMBU and Association President) and Steve Tindall (Association Vice President, Tim Smith (Association Chairman), and Judy Milner who presented the Brian Milner Memorial Trophy (York Closed Veterans' Singles). MC for the evening was Tim Smith. Jean Carter hosted an excellent general knowledge quiz.

Mikey Arnold won the York Closed Junior Singles and Handicap Singles, and was awarded the RE Jakeman Trophy for most promising junior.

Marian Broadbent (BT) won the York Closed Ladies' Doubles with Cancan Zhang (University), and Mixed Doubles with Aidan Ranftler (Clarence TTC).
Joe Wright (Topspin York) and Doug Muirhead (University) won the York Closed Hard-bat Doubles. Joe also won the York Closed Men’s Doubles with Joni Caspi, and Doug won the York Closed Division Four Singles and was a member of the University C team that won Division Four.
Peter Smalley won the York Closed Division Three Singles.

Keith Webster (Shepherds) won the York Closed Over-70s Singles.

Arthur Sorley (York RI) won the York Closed Junior Doubles with Adam Stone (Millthorpe).

Andy Kirk (York RI) received a York Badge for representing York in the Yorkshire Veterans’ League.
Keith Webster, Will Beedham, Ian Williams and Peter Harpham of Shepherds A were awarded the Ted Plant Trophy (most sporting team).
Mike Dinsdale receives the West Yorks Trophy (most done for the Association) from Steve Tindall. Mike has organised the last four Summer Leagues, and is joint winner with Dave Lobley, who has given up a lot of his time to coaching.
