According to you, what is the toughest aspect of being an athlete?

The toughest aspect of being an athlete is having the motivation and to work hard every day and staying mentally tough when your body really wants to just give up.

Do you have a former WPIAL runner that you looked up too?

Patrick Anderson, former Mt. Lebanon runner and state champion

What age were you when you started running competitively?

I started running competitively at age 10 doing youth USATF track meets and training with the Pacer Track Club.

Do you have any pre-meet rituals?

I always have to listen to the same pump-up music and eat the same foods the night before and for breakfast that morning.

Do you have any advice to young people who want to start a career in XC?

Don’t take it so seriously, it should be fun. It can seem really hard at first but as long as you keep showing up, you’re going to get better.
