When did you first become interested in track and field?
Freshman year, when I really started to take it more seriously and realized I could actually do something with it

What is your goal as a track and field athlete?
To take it to the next level and hopefully become a D1 track and field athlete.

What is your favorite track and field event to participate in?
High jump

What do you think is the key to success in your specific event?
The mental part of it, as every height you should take it just as serious and go up the same way you would on every other height.

What makes track and field a unique sport?
That it is pretty much just you vs. yourself and hoping to get that new personal best.

What is your favorite quote?
“Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.”

What are your future goals in track and field?
I hope to win WPIALs in high jump as well as reach 6’9 (new school record)

Get ready to witness greatness! The talented Emery Moye from Pine Richland is taking his high jump skills to new heights in 2023, currently ranked 2nd in the WPIAL AAA Boys with a jump of 6-3 1/2 . With his sights set on the WPIAL finals in May, Emery is determined to showcase his athletic ability and claim the top spot on the podium. After finishing 8th last year as a freshman, his hunger for success is stronger than ever. Don’t be surprised if we see him clear 6-6 at some point this season.
