What is the biggest misconception about track and field?
That it is just a physical sport. You have to not only be physically strong, but mentally strong as well. The heart and mind play a huge role in this sport.

What is the most important thing you have learned from a coach?
My Coach Rick Layton has always believed in me. He has taught me to be patient, and that I am capable of more than I believe.

What is your favorite quote?
“pray and never give up” luke 18:1

Do you have any pre-meet rituals?
I always make sure I’m wearing my cross necklace and my go to running earrings.

What is your favorite track and field event to watch during the Olympics?
I enjoy watching Sydney McLaughlin in the 400mh and Emma Coburn in the steeplechase.

Her performance in the 2022 WPIAL finals 800 meter run was hindered by a fall, but this setback has only served to motivate her to excel in the upcoming season.
