Do you have a former WPIAL athlete that you looked up to?
A former WPIAL athlete I looked up to was Dea Monz because she was a great leader who was always kind and believed in her teammates.

Do you have any advice for young people who want to start a career in Track & Field ?
Some advice I would give is to try a bit of every event. Going into high school, I thought sprinting was my event until my coach made me try throwing because I was a softball player. I am so grateful for this because I found my true passion and talent which I am now going D1 for. If my coach never made me at least try it out, I probably would not be able to go compete at the next level.

What do you do to relax?
What I do to relax is put on my headphones and listen to some of my favorite music. While doing this sometimes I like to stretch and focus on my breathing as well.

What is your favorite sports quote?
My favorite sports quote is “Be a goldfish” from Ted Lasso because it relates a lot to throwing. Sometimes if I have a bad throw, I get inside my head and can not get a better throw. This quote helps me forget about that last throw and get locked in to focus on the next one.

Which brand of Track & Field shoes do you prefer?
I prefer the Nike brand of shoes for track because Nike has really nice quality shoes for people with narrow feet.

Erica, a talented athlete and determined senior, is poised to take the WPIAL AAA girls Javelin championship by storm in 2023. Her runner-up in 2022 WPIAL runner-up finals only fuels her ambition to achieve gold this year. With a strong focus on improvement and a relentless work ethic, Erica has already secured two invitational titles at the Mount Lebanon Invitational and TSTCA Outdoor Championships this season. But she's not stopping there. Erica has her sights set on breaking her personal record and hitting the impressive 145+ mark, which would put her in contention at the PIAA Track and Field Championships.
