According to you, what is the toughest aspect of being an athlete?

The toughest aspect of being an athlete would probably be watching other competitors get better when it feels like you aren’t making as much improvement. Comparing your success to another person’s success is a recipe for a disaster. It’s tough to focus on yourself and not pay attention to others, but it's necessary to become a well driven, motivated, and focused athlete.

Do you have a favorite pump-up/hype song?

My favorite pump-up/hype song is anything by Nicki Minaj. But my #1 choice would have to be “Pound the Alarm”.

What is your favorite sports quote?

My favorite sports quote isn’t well known at all. It comes from my mom. Before every race, she always tells me to “run swiftly”. These two words resonated with me so much that they are actually engraved onto a small metal plaque on the laces of my spikes. I say this before every single race I run. My favorite sports quote by far.

Which brand of Track & Field shoes do you prefer?

I prefer New Balance. I am very picky on how shoes fit my feet, and in my opinion, New Balance spikes fit the best. The spikes MUST be neon colored though!

Why are you so passionate about Track & Field?

Track and Field holds a very special place within my heart. Every time I step onto the track, it’s a feeling I can’t explain. The amount of passion and love I have for the sport is unmatched. It has taught me so much and got me through many tough times. It’s safe to say I am very passionate about Track & Field because it feels like home.
