Who is your favorite professional athlete?

Definitely Molly Seidel. She seems like such a fun person and has been a big inspiration to me for a long time. I also love that she runs marathons since I love longer distances and want to work up to marathon racing someday!

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

I would definitely go to Singapore. I love Asia and Singapore looks like a beautiful place with lots to do!

What drives you to get up in the morning and go train every day?

I want to be the best runner I can possibly be, and push myself out of my comfort zone. I always want to improve and see myself getting better as the season goes on, and know that everything I am putting into it will benefit me in some way or another. I know that every workout, easy run, strength session, etc is helping me get to where I want to be!

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of running?

I love to play the violin! I think it's so cool being able to play the classical pieces that I grew up hearing, and think it's a really good outlet when I’m stressed out. I always have a ton of fun during orchestra class at school.

Do you have any advice to young people who want to start a career in XC?

Always have fun with running and racing. Runners tend to put a lot of pressure on themselves to perform well, but it’s always important to remember why you started in the first place! Running is such an awesome sport where you can meet so many amazing people, so have fun with it!
