According to you, what is the toughest aspect of being an athlete?
The toughest aspect about being an athlete is the mental aspect by far! It does not matter how physically talented you are, if you are not a mentally tough person, you will not get far.

Is there a coach or athlete that you look up to as a role model and why?
I look up to the Olympian Michelle Carter. During the Covid-19 lockdown, which canceled my freshmen season, I signed up for a virtual camp she was hosting. I had been a fan of her since she won the gold medal in the 2016 games, and I have actually been able to keep in touch with her since the camp. Her resilience, hard work, and determination are all things I aspire to have someday.

What is your favorite sports quote?

What is your favorite sports movie?
The movie Greater about Division I football player, Brandon Burlsworth, is my favorite sports movie. It is a very inspirational movie! 

Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a great athlete?
I believe that my ability to overcome adversity and work hard have helped to develop me into the athlete I am today.

Which brand of Track & Field shoes do you prefer?
Nike all the way!
