According to you, what is the toughest aspect of being an athlete?

I think that it’s definitely balancing school with sports. Between practicing, lifting and school work there isn’t a ton of extra time.

Do you have a former WPIAL athlete that you looked up to?

I look up to Emma Callahan. She became one of my best friends through this sport, and her work ethic and talent is definitely something I admire.

Do you have any pre-meet rituals?

Before every competition, my coach and I take a second to pray. It is just good to be reminded of why we have the ability to be able to compete.

What is the best advice you ever got, and who gave it?

My grandpa told me that I just have to go have fun because I have worked hard to prepare myself. I think that’s important because sometimes I lose sight of the joy in throwing.

Which brand of Track & Field shoes do you prefer?

Nike, Nothing else really compares to the rotational 6, but it’s the best.
