Eliezer Nicolas

Norwin

Sophomore
Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, & 4x100

How do you prepare mentally for a competition?
I would listen to music and talk to many people at track, and always find ways to seek advice from others on what to do.

What is your favorite track and field memory?
Westmoreland County Championships. After being in a slump, hitting 23.3 really helped me with my confidence, but the environment throughout the whole meet was incomprehensible.

What is the most important lesson you have learned from participating in track and field?
Never underestimate your opponents; they can always hit a crazy PR.

What is your goal as a track and field athlete?
To break my school record and go to states this year, I am only .6 off.

How do you deal with nerves before a competition?

Listening to music and talking to my teammates.

What is your favorite venue to compete at?

Latrobe Memorial

Eliezer is an outstanding young sprinter who is making a remarkable impression this season with his dedication and passion for Track and Field. The Norwin sophomore recently captured the Norwin 9th/10th Invitational in the 200-meter dash, running an impressive 23.09. Eliezer has set a goal to break the 23-second barrier in the 200-meter dash and help the Norwin 4x100 relay team medal at the WPIAL Finals.

Looking ahead, I am confident that Eliezer has the potential to become one of the top 400-meter dash runners in the WPIAL for the 2024 season if he continues to work hard and maintain his focus. With his positive attitude and unwavering determination, Eliezer is a true asset to the Norwin track and field team, and I have no doubt that he will achieve great success in the future.
