TABERNACLE DOME ADDED TO THE SANCTUARY
You may have noticed a beautiful enhancement to the Tabernacle in the Sanctuary of Saint John Bosco Church this week. We are pleased to share the joyful news of the addition of a golden dome, crafted by the same artisans who created the original tabernacle in 1963. This ensures a seamless and harmonious design, enriching the sacred beauty of our worship space.
The newly added domed top carries deep spiritual and architectural significance. A domed tabernacle emphasizes the glory of God and the holiness of the Eucharist reserved within. Architecturally, it draws the eye and makes the tabernacle a clear and compelling focal point of the sanctuary. Its graceful upward curve naturally lifts our gaze—and our hearts—toward heaven, evoking a profound sense of the divine.
Spiritually, the dome represents the heavenly realm, powerfully affirming our belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist—His divine presence dwelling among us in this most sacred place.
This meaningful and beautiful addition was generously donated by ARLENE STAGG, in loving memory of her dear husband, ROBERT G. STAGG, and her son, JAMES C. STAGG. We are deeply grateful for this heartfelt and very generous gift, which enhances both the reverence and the beauty of our sanctuary.
