The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is a community faith journey that leads to the transformation of mind, heart and spirit. This team process is designed for adults who were never baptized, those who were baptized in another Christian Faith Community as well as for baptized Catholics who have not received Communion or Confirmation. It begins in the late summer with the “Inquiry Stage”. At that point you are asked to contact the Parish Office to set up a meeting with the Pastor to discuss your desire to explore the possibility of becoming a Catholic. The sessions are held September through March in the Parish Office Conference Room from 10-11 AM.
INTERESTED IN BECOMING CATHOLIC?
Are you interested in becoming Catholic, or do you know an adult who would like to learn about our faith? Are there adult individuals who have not yet received the Sacraments of Communion or Confirmation? If so, we invite you to contact Fr. Ric at 570-788-1997, EXT 4, to schedule an initial "Inquiry Session." This meeting is required before beginning the OCIA sessions starting September 7. Please prayerfully consider extending this invitation to those you know. Call today!
CATHOLICS COMING HOME
After practicing Roman Catholics, the second largest religious grouping in our country is “fallen-away” Catholics, i.e., those who rarely or no longer practice the Faith. A website has been created to assist those who wish to become active Catholics once again: www.catholicscomehome.org If you want to “come home” or know someone who needs some encouragement to do so, visit this site for some inspiration.
