Saint John Bosco Parish is blessed to have a special ministry for our young children throughout the year. At the 9 o’clock mass at SJB church, almost every Sunday of the year, we have children’s litur-gy of the word. At the beginning of the mass children are invited called too the sanctuary and are given a blessing by the Priest or Deacon and then are sent forth with their catechist to read the scripture passage on their level and do a brief project to reinforce the meaning of the scripture in their life. The following men and women have volunteered to assist with this special children’s ministry: Joe Natale, DeDe Maylath, Jen Surmick, and Helen Fellin.
We are grateful to them for sharing their time and their effort to share the word of God with our youngest parishioners. We invite all children age 3 through grade 6 to participate. A parent is invited to join them.
The only days when we do not have CLOW is the weekend of the Fourth of July, the weekend of Christmas, the weekend of New Year’s, the weekend of Thanksgiving holiday, and the weekend of Easter.
CLOW will resume this Sunday, June 1 and is usually held every Sunday during the 9 AM Mass for our youngsters, aged 3 to 10, to read and reflect on the Scripture readings according to their level. We are grateful to the men and women who coordinate this program each week: Dede Maylath, Joe Natale, Helen Fellin, Jennifer Surmick, Maureen Ciavarella and many of our older youngsters who assist as volunteer aides.
