SALVATION ARMY LUNCHEONS

Monthly 

The SJB Salvation Army Committee serves a nutritious lunch every 3rd Wednesday at the Hazleton Salvation Army from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.  Members supply some food items and prepare them beginning at 9:30 AM. Our committee members supply the items used to make up each meal as well as prepare, cook, serve, and clean up afterward. We usually serve about 55 meals. During the summer SJB Youth Group join to help prepare, serve, and clean up as well. 

LENTEN WORK OF CHARITY CONTINUES

This Lent we have been collecting needed hygiene items for those who frequent the Salvation Army and those who occasionally are in the Catholic Charities Providence Emergency Homeless Shelter. Items needed are: Disposable Razors, Disinfectant wipes and spray, Coffee (Hot Drink) cups, Powdered Coffee creamers, Feminine Hygiene products, Men's Deodorant, soap, Facial tissues, large garbage bags, pill contain-ers (days of the week), etc. Items may be placed in the baskets of both of our Churches near the entrances.

SALVATION ARMY LUNCHEON

Our parish will host the luncheon for the needy of the Greater

Hazleton area at The Salvation Army building in Hazleton on,

August 15. Volunteers are asked to be present from 9:30 AM—

noon. New adult volunteers are always welcome to join the

parish group that prepares and serves the meal once a month.
