ANNUAL SPRING FLING Saturday, May 16, 2026, 7:00 AM—3:00 PM Box Day: Sunday, May 17th, 1:00 —3:00 PM
The meeting of our volunteers for the Spring Fling on Wednesday, April 8, was very well attended. We are truly grateful to all who came, as well as those who were unable to attend but who will volunteer. Everyone is welcome to help make this tremendous parish undertaking a success! Our Spring Fling will include a Gigantic Flea Market, Bake Sale, Food Stand, Tricky Trays, and Cash Raffle.
Other Ways You Can Help Make This a Success:
Bake for the Bake Sale: We welcome donations of baked goods! Items may be dropped off at the hall on Friday afternoon, May 15, or early on Saturday, May 16. Please do not use returnable pans or dishes. Suggested items include: cakes, breads, cupcakes, brownies, pies, fudge, Rice Krispie treats, and more.
Donate to the Tricky Trays: Donations may include: cash, gift certificates, lottery boards, children’s gifts, small appliances, household items, themed baskets, etc. Please drop off donations at the parish office by the first week of May.
Flea Market Donations: Begin gathering new, unused, or gently used items for the Flea Market. Drop-off will be at the Parish Gym beginning Mother’s Day afternoon (May 10) and continuing Monday–Wednesday, May 11–13. Please note: No items will be accepted after Wednesday, May 13. (See insert for acceptable and non-acceptable items.)
Provide Lunch for Volunteers: We are seeking volunteers to prepare a simple lunch for workers Monday–Friday, May 11–15. Ideas include sandwiches, pizza, hoagies, wimpies, or desserts. Please call the parish office at 570-788-1997 to sign up for a day.
Support Our Student Volunteers: Approximately 18 Honor Society High School students will assist on Wednesday, May 13. Donations are welcome to help provide pizza and soda for their lunch. Contributions can be dropped in the collection basket in an envelope marked: “Pizza Lunch for Student Volunteers.”
Donate Needed Supplies: We are in need of ZIP-lock bags (all sizes), metal hangers, clean grocery bags, money/cash boxes and card tables. Items may be dropped off at the parish office or at church on weekends.
Return Cash Raffle Tickets: Please complete and return the raffle tickets mailed to you. Additional tickets are available at the parish office.
Volunteer Your Time & Truck: If you can donate a few hours and have access to a pickup truck—especially on Wednesday morning during drop-off—please contact the parish office with your name and phone number.
DONATIONS RECEIVED
We are extremely grateful to the following individuals and businesses for their generous donations to help defray the cost of our Spring Fling raffle tickets. The printing of tickets and postage remain two of the largest expenses associated with our Annual Spring Fling.
Additional donations are always deeply appreciated. If you would like to contribute, please indicate that your donation is intended to help offset the cost of tickets and postage.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support! Donors:
