ADVENT OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Each Advent, as we prepare for the coming of Christ at Christmas, Saint John Bosco Church and Sacred Heart of Jesus Church sponsor Giving Trees and other outreach programs to assist those in need—both locally and internationally.

SAINT JOHN BOSCO CHURCH - GIVING TREE

Our Annual Christmas Giving Tree will once again be displayed in the vestibule of Saint John Bosco Church beginning the weekend of November 22/23. Please take an ornament tag and purchase the gift listed. Return your unwrapped gift with the tag attached by Sunday, December 14.

This year’s Giving Tree will support:

• Catholic Social Services

• United Children’s Home (Boys) in West Hazleton

• Father Christian’s Orphanage in Nigeria

SACRED HEART OF JESUS CHURCH - ANGEL TREE

Our Sister Church, Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Weston sponsors an Angel Tree.

• Gifts for the veterans, wounded soldiers and those who come to our local food pantries, the Providence Emergency Shelter for the Homeless, and Salvation Army are welcome. In addition to the items listed on the tags, socks, gloves, hats, scarf's, and small toiletry items are always needed. Simply place them in a bag or box unwrapped under the Angel Tree in the Sanctuary of Sacred Heart Church.
