Minutes: Minutes of April 9, 2019 meeting read & approved

Officers’ Reports

Treasurer: Lauren S. reviews Treasurer’s report (via notes from Mandi) read and accepted. Report attached.

• 2019-20 Budget approved

• Funding Requests
  *4th Grade Trip to Delaware Historical Society / B. Travis
  $5 per student (approx. $560) to support their learning of the Underground Railroad in February

Motion Made K. Wilder 2nd L. Carr, All approved 

PTO payment of sitter for monthly meetings / H. Skedell

$20 per meeting ($180)
Motion Made A. Curry 2nd Christina, All approved 

Guest Speaker: Joe Schneederger from United Fundraising to go over Pie sales for Nov/December. There is a new company for pies, Epic Desserts. $20 for pies and $25 for cheesecake sampler. Pies will be shipped 6 to a case.  We will be adding cookie dough insert to pie sales. Truck deleiver will be @ 4:30 and pick up will be 6-7:30 on Tuesday, Dec. 17th

• Thank you for a great start to the school year!  

• Grandparents’ Day was a huge success, over 600 sign ups 

• General Updates: Picture retakes will be Oct 23rd, DSC will observes a moment of silence on 9/11 @ 8:46, Drama Club has been switched, Oct 8th k-2 will have an author visit @ Willis will Will Hillenburgh, Mobile dentist Oct 10th, safety drills are done on a monthly basis 

COMMITTEES

Looking to form larger committees this year to do much of the planning outside of general membership meetings and do monthly updates at meetings. 

Fundraising 

Staff Appreciation
Family Events (co-chairs maybe needed )

Box Top Committee: we are in need of a cochair this year

• Fall Mum Fundraiser – currently @ $21, 807 of sales, 26% of students participated
