Meeting Date: January 10, 2023                    Meeting Location: Art Room (Rm. 19)

1. Call to Order

2. Minutes: Review of minutes from 11/8/22 and 12/13/22 meeting

• 11/8 Motion to change “agenda” to “minutes”—L. Skillen, 2nd R. Long, all in favor

• 12/13 Motion to correct balance of “$111,032.66”  to  “$11,032.66”—R. Long, 2nd A. Miley., all in favor

3. Co-President's Report

• Coin Collection for Secret Santa was $777 (plus late funds to be deposited)

• Inflatable Movie Screen—donated, maybe movie night in March/April 

• Mighty Macy’s Blood Drive–Saturday, January 21st @ Schultz

4. Treasurer’s Report

• Budget Update—waiting for Penguin patch to clear ($3,765.50), Moved $2,500 to field trips from end of year 

• Funding Requests

  • COSI (1st Grade, spring)- tabled from 11/8/22 meeting

R. Long motion to fund, 2nd K. McCune, All in favor, 0 opposed–approved!

• Gym Ball Request - Mr. Chad Wanner  $109.96

Asking for 4 large balls for touch ball game (~$27/each)

5. Committee Reports

• Events

  • Secret Santa - H. Ward update from meeting on 1/10/23 

    • December 9 (2nd Saturday), 9am-1pm, nix penguin patch and find another option

• Fundraising

  • Spring Fundraiser–Foertmeyer Flower Sale (March 1-15th)

    • Secured date, just do online orders, asking for delivery on Saturday before Mothers Day (5/13) at Schultz

Next Fundraising Idea - Little Caesar Pizza

• Carol is contact, brochure delivery next week, begin sale January 23rd, Delivery end of February (week day evening)

• Will need volunteers on delivery date to unload, count, sort by grade/alphabet, quick pick up *sign up genius for pick up?

• Other Fundraising Ideas Discussed:

• Mr. Woodworth didn’t oppose candygrams around February

• Reading Marathon idea around literacy night to win tickets for page reading, win class parties

• Calendar to fill up for dates with $1-$31 donations

• Pathways Credit Union

• Spring Fling (Mid May, Friday pm with dj)

• Board game night

• Movie night

• Staff Appreciation

  • P/T Conference Meals on March 8 and 16

• 501(c) (3) update – none

  • Can reach out to A. Miley’s dad (CPA) to double check things

• Family Literacy Night (March 2)—PTO already approved funds for Steve Harpster

• T. Cinereski--Can we expand music to its own line item for expansion of performance tasks?

• Next meeting will be Tuesday, February 14 @ 7 pm
