Meeting Minutes Schultz Elementary PTO

Minutes: Minutes of March 9, 2021 meeting read and accepted

Officers’ Reports

Treasurer: Mandie presented the treasurer’s report Balance $4,602.69 and $2,420.45 (in district account),

-Box Top revenue is down ($1,000 check received last year)

• Funding Requests

o 5th Grade Yard Signs $825 total for 110 signs; 1st motion – Rose L. and 2nd motion – Lauren S./ all in favor

COMMITTEES

Fundraising

Spring Flower Sales Fundraiser: –138 students participated, sales look better than last year (2020) ideas for what helped; keeping the time line extended some, emails and text messages from the office. Delivery will be May 8th (truck @ 11 am and pick up 1-3) keeping at 10 stations w/ 10 min in between stations. Sign Up Genius for volunteers and pick up times has gone out

Staff Appreciation

-Planning for the week of May 3rd -8th

Family Events : No events planned

Box Top Committee: Nothing new to report

Principal: Mr. Woodworth and Mrs. Krell shared

• Construction Update; 2nd / 3rd grade moved into 4th / 5th grade rooms, 4th and 5th moving into new wing

• Thank you again for the new books

Old Business

• PTO Bylaws – Mike Weiner was able to review the current bylaws and made some suggestions, there are other areas that still need reviewed

New Business

• Fall Mum Fundraiser; Fall Mums (1st day of school is Aug 18th, looking at possibly starting sale on 8/30 or 9/14, orders due on 9/14 and pick up at the end of Aug)

• We are in need of board nominations, treasurer position will be available 2022-2023 school year. It would be ideal to have someone shadow current treasurer for a year to make transition easier
