5. Committee Reports
Events
Donuts with Grownups (1 down, 2 to go)—252 coming this week, 185 next week, people appreciate all the same donut, currently under budget
Discussed as board about needing volunteers (how to get people to come to event but also to help)
Discussion: thinking outside of box to try to get volunteers (Spring Fling, Secret Santa),
sign up out before the event?, offer their child an extra reward during the school day?,
why field day/book fair and not other events (being a part of the day, seeing student in element??), same people at PTO, too, remind app, new pictures/change the wording, teacher communication with parents, parent reviews on FB to post and hear, thank you list with names/pictures, info table at conference night, push April meeting/kindergarten info night, STEAM night, make sure they know what is the commitment (timing/task), illustration with % income and hours of volunteers, how YOU can make a difference, at a glance calendar, better welcome/explanation to kindergarten parents who stay for PTO meeting
Game Night—Bingo/game (win bingo, get a ticket, put into raffle basket), bingo prizes already put together
School Testing April 1-24th, schedule for April 26th
Spring Fling—set up committee meeting (send Heather Stake a message)
