Meeting Date: February 13, 2024 Meeting Location: Art Room
1. Call to Order : 7:02pm
a. In attendance: Jen Larrison, Mike Troutman, Heather Stake, Melissa Hay, Jay Miley, Angela Miley, Rose Long, Kristina McDonald, Nikki Lizak, Krista Bear, Bree Saunders, Jayme Hiller, Carla Whipple, Lauren Skillen, Heather Calhoun.
2. Minutes: Review of minutes from 1/9/24 meeting
Changed in minutes: Literacy week and steam night are now a shared line item in 2024 treasure; Motion to approve: Angela M. 2nd: Rose D.
3. Co-President's Report
Donuts with grownups in March. Fliers will go home at the end of this week. 3 times to split the alphabet. 1 grown up/ student. Need a final count ahead of time all rvsp by March 5th. A-G 3/7, H-O 3/14, P-Z 3/21. QR for sign up and QR for volunteers.
4. Treasurer’s Report
Budget Update: balance $13,871.90 outstanding checks of almost $600; income of $150 from Amato’s; refund from ballet met of ~$150
Funding Requests:
Kindergarten field trip to Franklin Park conservatory to align with butterfly studies; ~$9 ($5 from families and $4 from PTO includes Columbus arts tax. Rose motions to approve; Jay M. 2nd
2nd grade field trip to the Columbus Zoo to align with studies; students are $7; chaperones $17; members are free. Field trip is in May. Table to clarify about memberships accepted and chaperone fees.
Jennifer Larrison: $150 for Spanish books from Scholastic for her classroom. Take from Student appreciation and Inclusion line item Larrison will purchase and reimburse. Rose motions to approve; Troutman – 2nd
5. Committee Reports
Events
Candy Gram Delivery Update:Every student received a candy gram funded by PTO for a cost $393.85.
Spring Fling??: Friday May 17. Possible themes: 80s night, spring fever, night at Hollywood with corresponding activities. Problem is space= split grades or families by last night; open up playground
Family Game Night: Thursday 3/14; previously had pizza/chips/drink for $2; 6:30-7:30pm; Paynes pizza; getting prices and will update
Fundraising
Little Caesar’s Update: profit $1,644, 225 pizzas and 49 cookies; made less than last year ($2121).
Parent’s Night Out Update: Sold out to 80 students!! QR code didn’t work; there is a waitlist and those that are waitlisted will get contacted prior to the public opening. Willing to do it again in April.
Spring Fundraiser–Foertmeyer Flower Sale (March 1-15th) Online store from March 1-18th a big push in the last weekend. Pick up date Saturday May 11th at 9:30am. Prizes include silly string and gummy candy. We have Whit’s coupons we can use for the participation prize. Top 3 sellers not by grade level will get books/stuffed animals.
Another Whits, Amatos, Parent Night Out??
Panda Express dine to donate is pending approval March 8

Staff Appreciation
P/T Conference Meals on February 29 and March 6 (Subway donated by Empower & Canes/Salad)
2/29: Empower is donating subway subs, chips, and cookies. We will provide drinks and candy
3/6: Canes and Salad Bar with donations for drinks and chips

NexTrek Update
697 lb total only need 303 lb to make it to the bench
8. New Business
Upcoming…PTO board nominations in March: Nominate in March all positions except treasurer; vote in April and take over in May
Field Day: 5/20 set up inlcudeds coordinators; 5/21 field day; 5/22 rain date; 12-13 stations separated in am (k-2) and pm (3-5); PTO will set up volunteers. Coordinators for each station and high school students/parents will help at stations. Requests us to pay for Port o Potties (~$150-200). Bree is ensuring we have park reserved and grass is cut.
