1. Call to Order at 7:04pm
2. Minutes: Review of minutes from 4/11/23 meeting–motion to approve S. Bills, 2nd J. Miley
3. Co-President's Report
PTO Scholarship Update from Tyra Baisden
Selections: Katie Connell and Mckenzie Carter
Future improvement suggestions–update the rubric, include a half sheet/quarter sheet for students to reach out to a contact during the summer if needed
4. Treasurer’s Report
Budget Update–Current balance: $10,323.61
Spring Spirit Wear Earnings: ~$400
Amato's Dine and Donate Earnings: ~$200
COSI trip came in under our approved $675
Funding Requests
5th Grade Yard Signs—request not to exceed $900 have 25 able to reuse, Motion to approve A. Miley, 2nd K. McDonald, all in favor–approved!
Discussion: We should include recommendation to reuse in communications re: signs
5th Grade Celebration—asking for $170 to include 5 Costco cakes and 5 cookies for 129 students, Motion to approve H. Calhoun, 2nd J. Miley, all in favor–approved!
Discussion: Does this include parents? Potentially a lot of cake left over, but will learn this year for future since last year they ran out
Senior Luncheon—asking for $285 for luncheon scheduled on May 15 from 10:30-1:30 (timing set so DACC students may attend), ~40 students attending, Motion to approve A. Miley, Holly 2nd, all in favor–approved!
Discussion: Would be cool to have a clap out with banners from the library
Field Day— asking $428.97 plus tax for supplies (budget $500), Motion to approve A. Miley, 2nd L. Skillen, all in favor–approved!
Discussion: Do we have these supplies from last year? Mr. W returned several items
Gym/Recess supplies—asking $514.37, Motion to table for August S. Bills, 2nd M. Troutman, all in favor, but approved $107.39 for water balloons only
Discussion: Prefer not to supply new balls/equipment at the end of year to have them sit in heat through summer
Retirement gift for Ruth Reagan (night custodian) and Deb Bogart (tech support)—asking $100 ($50 each) for gift cards, motion to approve A. McFarland, 2nd S. Bills, all in favor–approved!
5. Committee Reports
Events
Spring Fling– Friday, May 12 (6-7:30pm)—SACC will be flexible with time for room, arrive at 5:15 to help (no need to ask for volunteers since students have parents), Are we accepting friends? Siblings? Next year let’s put that in writing
Fundraising
Foertmeyer Flower Pick Up on Saturday, May 13, lots of Hayes volunteers
Prize Drawing for those who sold 1 item entered into grade level for $5 Walmart gift card
1st grade- Brooklynn Staley
2nd grade- Brady Perry
3rd grade- Alaina Curry
4th grade- Aden Fronduti
5th grade- Dominic Mrazek
Kindergarten- Brody Barker
Pulp—$4/small cup for staff drinks, May is very busy with transitions of staffing, hopefully can set up fundraiser in summer, can track all day or for set time (consensus: all day)
Staff Appreciation
Staff Appreciation Week (Now)—“Schultz staff is plane awesome”
Staff Retirements - Miss Ruth Reagan and Deb Bogart (discussed during funding requests)
6. Principal’s Report – Mrs. Baisden
Exciting things ahead (scholarships, field trips, senior lunch, etc.) and appreciate support to make those happen

501(c) (3) update–none
PTO Board Positions for 2023-2024—Thank you Holly (last meeting)!
Ballot vote for VP: Kristina McDonald, Heather Stake, Co-VP together
Co-VPs–Kristina (communication/volunteers/email), Heather (committees/events)—all in favor!

Thank you from B. Travis for conference meals, field trips, etc.
