Officers’ Reports

Welcome & Suggestion box out for comments / suggestions

Treasurer: Mandie S. Treasurer’s report read and accepted. Report attached.

• Paper numbers for spring flower sale is cash $21,000, in reality is $31,000 because of online sales. We did make the budget line profit of $10,000

• Spring Fling has a budget amount of $150

Principal: Travis Woodworth

• Thank you for levy renewal support! Planning process is in place and possible ground breaking in March 2020 

• Excited for first House Games 

• 5th grade has CIA day @ Dempsey 

• 4th grade is going to Ohio History Center of the 23rd  

COMMITTEES

Box Top Committee: Starting in June 2019 Box Tops will be going digital for new products, you will scan your receipt on the app. Look at ways to increase Box Tops turn in (down significantly check for $446.40 in the past it usually is around $1,000). Could be a communication issue, will send out a reminder and offer an quick incentive “Pops for Tops” flyer will go home, students who bring in any amount of Box Tops will get a lollipop. 

Muffins in May Committee: 

• Follow up; first day was rough, may be due to low number of volunteers. Second and final day went smoother. $384 total spent plus $54 for juice boxes (through the district) cutting muffins in ½ helped

• Ideas for future; bumping time back (too early since crowd was smaller) maybe do it on Fridays since open gym (would mean doing it 3 separate weeks and multiple trips to COSTCO) 

Old Business

• Fall Mum Fundraiser – Packets will go home right at the start of the school year. Having sample flowers at the PTO table for Back to School Night might help generate interest

• Spring Flower Fundraiser -  Having more online orders helped! Suggestions; move pick up time, use cones and people to direct traffic flow, NHS students were wonderful, flowers were donated to help 1st grade’s PBL 

New Business

• There will be a slide show for Mr. Remlinger and PTO will present the drum purchased for the school in his honor 

• PTO will be sending thank you cards to the who volunteered during the school year outside of the school day to show appreciation
