1. Call to Order—7:04pm

2. Minutes: Review of minutes from 12/12/23 meeting, motion to approve T. Cinereski, 2nd H. Ward, all in favor

3. Co-President's Report

·       Passed around thank you notes from 3rd Grade (Nutcracker)

4. Treasurer’s Report

• Budget Update—balance $17,747.36 as of 12/31/23 ($13,937.53 on Treasurer’s Report because Secret Santa cost has been sent out)

• Funding Requests

  • Sean Patrick (PE)—new mats to replace worn red and white, desires orange for school spirit ($500 each), dodgeballs, broom ball, etc. asking us to partner with him

  • PBIS/Pacer Buddies games—asking ~$360 for games to practice turn taking, self regulation, etc. for 2/15, motion to approve K. Staley, 2nd H. Stake, all in favor, approved!

  • STEAM Night--$500 (add STEM night to the Literacy night line) motion to approve H. Stake, 2nd A. Miley, all in favor, approved!

5. Committee Reports

• Events

  • Secret Santa Wrap Up--$200 treasure bucks or 5% back ($189), no markup

Data: 2nd grade most attended/kindergarten least, 77% heard from flyers and facebook/least communicated via teacher, 83% did vendor shopping, 80% did raffle, least % used snack shop, only 1 person said price was not what expected and too high

• Family Night--Glow bingo, black lights (high cost), glow sticks, highlighters, valentines/teacher appreciation in May/ for community, friendship bracelets, family fun fitness night—table for February

• Fundraising

  • Little Caesar’s Pizza—26 online orders, should we translate flyer next time for other families?

  • Empower Parent Night for February 24 5-9pm, Kaitlyn Young (lead contact)—voted between Ninja, Game Night, Escape Room, Laser themes (preferred), register via QR code or call directly, $10/child where 100% to PTO, parents can add $6 for pizza, openings for ~72 kids

  • Foertmeyer Spring Fundraiser—sale begins Feb 28, online closes March 13, pick up May 11 

  • Discussion—Kroger and Meijer rewards

• Staff Appreciation

  • P/T Conference Meals on February 29 and March 6—pto to provide one, donations for the other

  • Empower providing staff meals and needs more details, 3/6 or 4/8
    
    

6. Principal’s Report–Mrs. Baisden, appreciate Kona volunteers, 1/25 spelling bee finalist, STEAM Night coming up

7. Old Business

• NexTrek Update—drop off this weekend 9 bags

8. New Business

• STEAM Night (March 20 tentatively)

• Candy Grams--nobody left out, everyone will get one

• Next meeting will be Tuesday, February 13 @ 7 pm
