2008-2018, STEM Education

• Delivered information about a student with Reactive Attachment Disorder:

  1. Collected information on student behavior from colleagues and administration

  2. Student was presenting as distrustful, frustrated, and condescending to his peers. 

  3. Assessed what behaviors may have been affecting the student

  4. Interviewed Special Education about their communication and direction

  5. Researched and developed information to disseminate to students, colleagues, and administration, 

  6. With peer support and change in behavior from his teachers, his grades went from all D's to all B's in 2 months.

• Developed and Delivered Reading Comprehension curriculum for improving school-wide ACT scores

• Promoted the use of Clozed Notes for addressing BIPOC students, in particular, falling behind in a summer program

• Addressed Tolerance as a system-wide issue in multiple settings

2020-2024, Healthcare

• Gathered information about patient care coordination and empathy for patients, and developed Just Culture activities, resulting in management adopting our proposed Culture of wellness and psychological safety.

• Collaborated with educators, policy managers, and clinic managers to update policies on gathering necessary information for virtual appointments

• Updated information for department-wide communications in Public Health, including:

  1. Flu and Covid vaccine administration

  2. Covid testing

• Assessed procedures and updated policies for instructions on at-home versus in-facility care for:

  1. Covid testing and administering Paxlovid

  2. Common Cold

  3. Urinary Tract Infections

  4. Vasectomies

• Updated policies on communications on dry erase boards that eliminated errors in patient care

• Assessed procedures for cleaning vitals carts then provided information on current policies to:

  1. Emphasize importance of cleaning carts after every patient visit

  2. Ease end-of-day checklists by cleaning carts after every patient instead of at the end of every day

I survey workflow to identify bottlenecks, redundancy, and policy adherence, with the primary objective being to improve efficiency.

I have filled a role of editor and Policies and Procedures in most of my employment, such as:

• Updated protocols and procedures for OSHA compliance

• Wrote and submitted grant proposals and final reports

• Took meeting and conference notes, sent out on behalf of academic department

• Standardized stocking lists and protocols

• Culminated decision matrix for finding software to improve document management
