"MJ is able to relate to and communicate effectively to a very diverse group of people, which was essential in keeping our customers satisfied. She was never prejudiced, and always treated everyone who walked in the door equally." - Service Manager, Letter, 2022

Elements of classroom management are similar to effective business management
At the beginning of the year, I ask my students what they expect of the teacher, then I compare that list to what I expect of them, agreeing that the lists are identical.
We focus on positive phrasing, such as "Allow public speaking," instead of "Don't interrupt others."
With this technique, it is easy to:
Establish expectations
Refer back to those expectations
Set limits on scope of work and behavior
Ensure a healthy classroom similar to a Positive Workplace Culture
Turn the activity into a Behavior Contract
I utilize philosophies such as Constructivism to build upon current knowledge
I then take information gained from formative assessments to continue guiding students through engaged learning
I use summative assessments to formally assess content understanding and make necessary adjustments and remediations
