In the fall of 2005, we held a Gala at a local Nepalese restaurant, who donated 20% of their proceeds to our chapter of Engineers Without Borders, which mostly paid for our assessment trip.
Some of my tasks were:
Posting information on our website
Designing and distributing flyers (this was before Social Media)
Coordinated with the restaurant, including selecting the menu
Booked a local band who donated their time
Managed the finances
Helped with seating, hosting, and cleanup during the event
Reporting the event and our finances following university regulations
