Originated from my passions for patient care and employee health
I collaborated with the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and the Resiliency Center
Hospital was struggling with issues such as:
Sexual harassment
Hostile work environment
Lack of empathy for patients
Lack of Coordination of Care
Pain Bias
Surgical unit culture had grown into "one-and-done," or "treat-the-problem"
Best outcome for the patient: "patient-centered," or "treat-the-patient"
I wrote workshop curriculum for the quarterly Skills Day.
I addressed concepts such as empathy, professionalism, and appropriate forms of play.
I reached out to the Resiliency Center to provide more organization-wide training
The hospital as a whole was trying to steer its employees to a Just Culture, where reporting issues should improve the workplace and treating each other with kindness and respect would ultimately improve patient care.
