Help Prevent Allergic Reactions

Food allergies can be potentially fatal, and there is no cure. The best way to avoid a reaction in an elementary school environment is through effective communication with parents and educating the children and teachers that food and utensil sharing is prohibited. Talk with your child at home and discuss the potential harm of sharing food with friends at school.

We know that many parents like to celebrate birthdays and other occasions with special treats. We encourage parents to celebrate with non-food items, such as hats, stickers, pencils or other trinkets. Please speak directly with your child’s homeroom teacher about class celebrations.
