Important lives and the voices tied with them have been buried, dead or alive, and the question why was never brought up enough. Gertrude Montgomery was shot and eventually killed in Santa Fe. It was a crime committed over pure hate. In Ontario, Irene Cole was strangled to death and left on the river bank at nine years old. In Detroit, 13 year old Helen Brown was "cut and battered" and simply left for dead. This is the work of people who have lost their ways, and have no place in a society with dreams to prosper. Impossible. Why did these things happen? Where does the outrage come from? What is there to do? The first two questions are hard to explain or even comprehend, but the answer to the third question is an answer we can't stop looking to find.
