Sexism in Schools

What men wear is never the problem for other people
Men are seen as human
And not a sexual object
Women are labeled and dehumanized based on what they wear
If its too short, if its too long, if its too revealing, or not
Women are "asking for it"
If you are sexualizing women, YOU are the problem.
Since the beginning of times women have always been punished for the simple fact of being female. The schools across the country have done a pretty good job at sexualizing women and making them feel like they are the ones responsible for any type of sexual assault they encounter. The school dress codes are perpetuating rape culture and oppressive objectification towards women. A shoulder is seen as a distraction to the male student, but if a shoulder is what's distracting the men, then they are the problem. Long before I went to school and experienced the sexism for wearing something "too revealing," many women had already suffered this type of discrimination. Whether it be at churches, at a store or at their schools. This has been an issue long before #MeToo.
