The background behind the girl, consists of pieces of newspaper articles that begin in the year 1911, ranging all the way to the mid 1900's. All of the newspaper pieces mention thoughts about how women's clothes are categorized in society, or provoke other men to act upon them. Women have been criticized for what they wear for a long time now. They are called names and even assume they do certain things based on their physical appearance. This collage is meant to raise more awareness on how women are constantly being sexually vicitimized for the type, amount, and length of the clothes they wear.
