Let Off the Hook

This collage includes a few different newspapers that highlight different sexual assault cases where the person accused of rape is let free or does not even end up getting arrested. I have put in quotes some of the main sentences from the articles that stood out to from different articles and stories. Often times it involved a person of color and a white man or even some one that was higher up in society, so they wanted to keep it a secret. It was surprising to see that people actually got away with these horrific crimes back then, but then it made me realize that still happens today.
