Mouse actually shows up in Siren Beloved, though she isn't named in that book. Lexi thinks of her as looking like a scared mouse and hence Mouse Hobbes was born. Trev is one of those characters I can say is loosely based on a guy I dated in college. Not the hookers and cocaine part of Trev. The solid, deeply responsible, calm part of Trev. And the coffee. He drank a lot of coffee. It was so much fun to write the final words of this book since the whole time the reader knows Trev is planning to leave. But what they didn't know was that his journey would always end in Bliss.
