Si is one of those characters who totally caught me off guard. I'm going to be honest, I thought this dude was nothing more than a co-worker who was vying for Avery's attention when he followed Liam into an alleyway in London and pulled a gun on him.
On naming Simon - originally I was going to name him Oliver, but that name had recently been used in a Masters of Menage book, and I wanted to avoid any confusion. So Simon is a very English name (think LeBon, yes I'm a child of the 80's). Did I realize there was a war hero in England named Simon Weston? No. Was I quickly informed but way after publication so I couldn't change it? Also yes.
Si and Jesse is one of my favorite friendships in the MT universe. I love that they're opposites and yet they become brothers. I think Simon needed someone to mentor, and Jesse needed someone who cared enough to teach him.
