Grew up in a trailer park in Georgia. Played football in high school and shortly after graduation left with his brother, Theo, to join the Navy.
Former SEAL. Served in Afghanistan where Michael was his partner. They were both recruited onto a CIA team.
Unlike Theo, Case didn't immediately take to his newfound brothers. It took getting his leg broken (You Only Love Twice) and winding up in Charlotte and Ian's guest bedroom to turn him around on Ian and Sean.
Case also appears in the Lawless series.
Case is one of those characters I know is going to be important but who starts out as basically a foil to the character I'm interested in, mainly Theo. He's dark to Theo's light. They're not really versions of Ian and Sean, but some of the same forces shaped them so there are resemblances.
A funny thing happens with these types of characters for me. They kind of play out in a way I don't expect but that psychologically is probably true. Case has insecurities about being less likable than Theo, less respected. In some ways, he doesn't want his brother to have other brothers in the beginning because deep down he worries Theo will leave him.
Some of Case and Mia's love story happens in From Sanctum with Love when Case basically romances Mia to figure out if she's working with The Collective. Of course Mia's undercover trying to figure out if Case is with The Collective, so there's that. This is one example of how subplots in my books form whole other books hence the need for an encyclopedia like the one you're reading now.
