When Ezra Fain joined the ranks of the CIA, the last thing on his mind was romance. After meeting Kim Soloman, it was difficult to think of anything else. A tragic mistake drove them apart, leaving him shattered and unable to forgive the woman he loved. But when his greatest enemy threatens her life, Ezra leaps into action, prepared to do anything to try to save her.
Solo accepted long ago that she won’t get over Ezra. She’s worked for years to get back into his life, looking for any way to reignite the love they once shared. Unfortunately, nothing seems to penetrate the wall he has built between them. When she’s arrested for a crime she didn’t commit, she believes she’s on her own.
Racing across the globe, Ezra and Solo find themselves together again, caught in the crosshairs of the agency they sacrificed so much to serve. Days on the run soon turn to steamy nights, but Levi Green isn’t about to let them find their happily ever after. And when the smoke clears, the men and women of McKay-Taggart will never be the same again.

No Love Lost is the epic conclusion of the Forgotten series. I don't throw around the word epic often, but I think this one fits since it reframes the M&M world going forward. It also includes something I don't often do - multiple points of view from characters who aren't the hero or heroine. All of the previous Lost Boys get a POV so we know where they are in life at this point as they get "the band" back together.
A few notes - The Malta segment of this book was inspired by a trip I took to Malta the year before. I've got pictures detailing the chase scene on the Birgu waterfront that takes place in part two.
Originally I planned to have Ezra/Beck toss Levi into the guva that still exists at Fort St Angelo where Solo goes to hide. A guva is like an oubliette, which is a prison where the only way out is through a trap door in the ceiling. The walls are curved, so climbing is impossible. Levi would be forever trapped and tortured and walked over by tourists.I decided against that because I thought it would put me in Schrodinger's Cat territory, where Levi would be both alive and dead and the reader would expect him to show up again at some point. He won't. He's dead.
This is probably my favorite plot twist - those three words between Parts One and Two.
