Lexi's Notebook Part Two
So a couple of weeks ago I shared some of the original notes I had for a story that still hasn’t happened (JT stole Clive’s girl) and for a different resolution to Happily Ever After in Bliss. I had those notes in what I call my Idea Book. I will totally get to all those stories one day. Totally.
But I picked up a random notebook—oddly looking for the notebook where I’d made a list of “inspirations” for this weekly feature and I found these…
What? When was Faith’s name Mikayla and we called her Mac? ***note to self Mac is still super cute and could lead to confusion, and isn’t that fun***
I think the only things about this that did not change was Faith was a doctor and she’s been in Africa helping with an Ebola outbreak. Everything else is different.
And right next to it I had some initial idea about Theo and Erin and wow, did those change. Because it was not Erin who wouldn’t let Little Theo in. Also, apparently my original title for Dominance Never Dies was From Russia With Lust. No idea why since that book mostly takes place in Colombia. And apparently Theo died in a fire Case wouldn’t let Erin run into?
Now I did find some notes on Kori and Kai, and those were pretty spot on, but I find it endlessly fascinating how these initial ideas become the finalized story. Mostly because I have no idea why.
So in the end those notes were the inspiration, the jumping-off place. I just apparently decided to jump into a whole other pool.
Also, I did follow the words of the notebook….
