Brownies

Cake like with chewy center

Ingredients

1 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup self-rising flour

1/2 cup cocoa

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking powder

1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

2 Tbs. real vanilla extract

2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate bar

1/3 cup sour cream

1 & 1/2 cups chopped nuts your choice (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

grease one 9" x 13" pan or two 9" square pans

Place flours, salt, baking powder, cocoa take whisk and mix together

In large mixing bowl mash and stir with wooden spoon the softened butter until creamed well.

Place chocolate bar in microwave safe dish in microwave for 3 minutes, stopping and stirring along the way. When completely melted stir and remove from microwave. Cool slightly.

Add melted chocolate to butter mixing well.

Slowly add sugar, mix well.

Add eggs one at a time to bowl mixing well after each addition.

Add flour a little at a time alternately with sour cream, mixing well between additions.

Add nuts- walnuts, pecans, slivered almonds your choice or you could also add chocolate, peanut butter, caramel bits to make 1 1/2 cups total.

*I made the two smaller pans today. Cut one and put into freezer for eating later.

I also used walnuts, slivered almonds and caramel bits today. It is fun to vary for different tastes.

Bake 20 - 35 minutes. You will want a tester inserted to come out with little moist bits of brownie on it..Not dry and Not wet.

*If you can get it at the right moment this brownie will be cake like and chewy like in the center.
