Change happens...Change is good, I recently read...And these times we are currently in -seem to change regularly...Technology seems be changing our environments every month, or so it seems...Some new gadget comes out on a regular basis in today's times...Science is not only changing us. but other inventions are too...New science now aid us with new medications that allow us to live longer, stay healthier, make us stronger and make us even more comfortable than we already are and were...Bionics is in a sense the study of God and His created nature, and using His techniques in other platforms...No doubt man over the next thirty years, will have more pacemakers, more stents, more bionics in him as we age...Science and new technologies have also given us a much different armed forces that it was just thirty years ago...New and advanced weapons (in fact, I would be that soon we will be able to fight a war with drone planes and robotics), seem like and appear to be quite similar to the games and consoles children play their games on yesterday and today and tomorrow...
Most of the advancements are to make us more comfortable or to make life easier, if not better for us...Some advancements speed up old processes...We can do things faster...New medicines help us live longer...Some advancements, just give us access to more information...We now have more knowledge and a huge knowledge base with the internet...And most interestingly of all as we use bionics, we are will be approaching an age where we will have more and more technology and machine inside of us...
I want to think that believers and followers of Christ would like to see somehow these great changes be integrated into man and his life in a spiritual way...Is there a way that change can change mankind for the better and we can have an age of spiritual change for the better?...Like we had in Jesus' time, can we have an advancement period of a spiritual nature...Our current and greater modern inventions and advancement are good, but they have not done much for bettering mankind?...Do we have greater peace among mankind now?...Has all the new technology with all its productivity, given us more time?...And if we have more time each day, what are we using our extra time with and on?...Have these inventions advanced humanity for humanity's own sake...I am particularly interested in asking the question has all the modern inventions and things in the past thirty years got us closer to God?...Have we learned more about God, with all our advancements?...But change just to advance years in our lives, to give us more knowledge, and more comfort do not lead to a happy life or a life of wisdom...If I live ten years longer, am I happy or happier for those ten extra years?...New things, have not yet brought us closer to God...Nor has technology or science got us closer to His Son...
Jesus taught the eternities two thousand years ago...He lived approximately thirty years...He did more for the morality of people in His three years of ministry than any other man than any technology or science -ever...Jesus did more for the world Spiritually than any Man ever on earth...Since the days of Jesus how much has man actually changed?...Have we been able to love our neighbors (let alone our enemies) more?...Is there a way to cut down the wars and the number of policemen of the world through Jesus' teachings, with all we now know?...Jesus was a Man...Jesus shows us man has this great potential of His Way...Is there a Way to harness all this change and knowledge and change man into little Christs?...Is there a way to take the new advancements and turn it into the respect for the LORD, which is the beginning of all wisdom?...In the past two thousand years, do we know more about our LORD, and are we closer to God than we were the day our Messiah came?...What has the extra years and comfort and speeding us up, got us?...Are we more blessed today, than we were in His time?...
