Matthew 24:35
Jesus' Words Will Never Pass Away
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
John 17:13-19
God's Word is Truth
13 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus the Same, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
1 John 4:8
God is LOVE
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
The Truth is something that will never pass away...Things that are truth and fact always remain the Truth...Truth remains the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow...So when Jesus teaches us that God's Word is Truth (if we believe in Him) and that His Words will never pass away, we can see the Truth is His statement...
But as most of us see Truth, we see it through our own eyes and it becomes somewhat personal, even though Truth is actually universal...Truth can become a preference, if we are not careful in how we view the Truth...But God is Truth and is everywhere...And that is why God is Truth, He is global, He is Universal...His Truth is the Truth here and everywhere, and it is forever Truth, yesterday, today, and forever...
So if we believe that God's Word is Truth and that God's Word is the Bible, then the Bible becomes Truth...To believe in the Bible and the Truth, we must believe in God and Jesus' existence, if we believe in both the Old and New Testaments...
A half hearted approach to reading the Bible seems to be forgetting and can leave us with less concern...If we read the Bible from our personal preference point of view, we are not fully engaged in reading the Bible and about Jesus, then His Word can become forgetful and neglectful to us...His Word and His Truth become less meaningful to us, when we look at His Word in a preferential way and non-engaging way...
So let us look at God's Word as Truth and see the Light...The Truth is Alive, the Truth is Real, and the Truth is the relationship with the Father and Son...So Truth somehow becomes entangled with LOVE...
