Jesus and Children
14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
Believing in things may have been easier when you are younger...Faith may have been easier...One is not hindered with many years of information and a lifetime of things that they have been learned...So it may be easier to believe in Jesus, when we are children...I say that because as I have aged my mind has more and more doubts and questions about many things...I have many more personal experiences and memories to draw from now...My mind does not seem to be as open and accepting of things as it used to be...I tend to look and gather more information before I make a decision, than I once did...As a child, maybe it was easier to see things with less information around...Things were less hindered and comprehensive...Maybe as a child I did not need a lot of information to make decisions...Today there is also more information than ever before...And we may cling more to this data and information that keeps us from believing, because there is just more information and data on all things...And to evaluate things I use reason, and logic, and investigation...Maybe that is not always good...
One things remain the same always in life, and that is Truth...A Truth yesterday, will be the same Truth tomorrow and the same Truth in the future...We change, but the Truth of the matter does not change...Maybe it is easier for a child to see the Kingdom of Heaven, because he is not weighed down in many reasons and rationales...
