6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Now This is Eternal Life
3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
We need faith in God to please Him...Not believing in Him or not knowing that He exists does us no good...Having faith makes us closer to God, and confirms His existence...And He wants us to be close to Him...God does not need us, but we need Him...And we will be judged by Him in the end...We will not be judging Him...So we must seek Him and take the initiative get to know Him and His Son, if we are to have eternal life...If we use our free will, to go about our day, just doing what we want to do (and not seeking Him), we will have trouble finding Him...We must seek Him with our heart and our soul, and seek Him with faith...Finding Him and following Him makes one's life fuller...By believing in Him, we are rewarded by Him, with a fuller life on earth and eternal life in heaven..
