Self-paced Math (KhanAcademy)

Description.

Learn math concepts and techniques by solving interesting problems together and individually. The concepts and techniques will be tailored for appropriate age groups.

Age: 7+ y.o.

Group size: up to 8 people

Requirements: Laptop / Chromebook / Android tablet / iPad headphones. NOTE: iPads and Android tablets ARE supported. I apologize for misinforming you earlier.

Format: 1 hour session once or twice a week. The classes are not duplicating each other (your child can go twice a week), at the same time it's ok to go once a week since these are self paced and not lecture-type classes

Price: $10 per session.

Details:

• As children go through their problems the coach can see what they are struggling with and address that during the class.
• The children will be motivated by getting chips for each skill practiced or mastered. These chips will eventually be redeemed for prizes.
• Ideal way to not forget whatever was learned during the previous school year as well as to have a head start for the next year.
• Kids will set up their online profiles and learn the program in a motivational environment with the coach. It will help to set up a math routine that participants will continue at home after summer is over.
